Barzal does not seem happy playing the game. I'm not sure if it's Lane or the overall system.

Pelech being hurt isn't good and I'm guessing he's out for a while too. Luckily Romanov has been playing well and Dobson hasn't been a tire fire in the d zone. That's said the team as a whole hasnt really been good and they need to improve on that. Engvall was a great pick up that line has been pretty good

I think it's probably time to say Fasching has overtaken Wahlstrom's spot in this lineup. It feels like Wahlstrom is heading the way of Bellows at this point, not the direction we hoped he would

It really seems to be chief. It's been so tough for the Islanders to find a young breakout forward. Holmstrom shows some signs, but it's been a slow process. A line of JGP Holmstrom and Iskhakov could be interesting.

It's good that they found an NHL forward for free in Fasching. But Wahlstrom is disappointing. I was hoping they'd give him a shot with the top line and see if he could, if nothing else, put the puck in the net semi-consistently. But at this point he looks lost out there more often than not. I think his time is starting to come to an end here.

Last I heard they've put all their contract extension talks on hold after they got off to this brutal start this season. He might be, but he won't be cheap.
