Well how long have we been harping on stuff that needs to be upgraded and we are basically still harping on the same things 3 years later. IMO decisions needed to start being made last year, said it a lot. But was told we need to slow play it with all the youth. There decision making is very slow. Just because you saw growth last year doesn't mean you sit there and run it back. You try and add to that and make that growth even bigger this year, and they failed miserably so far. IMO

Their stat lines are similar and both are coming off losses, what do you think will happen?

It is the season, this season, when Granato and staff need to take the kid gloves off and slap some guys in the face. Enough is enough, players need to be held accountable pure and simple. He needs to coach by his own words of more direct and decisive...stop sugar coating everything, stop. being mister nice guy.

Games start with 20:00 on the clock.
Bag skate the team this morning, yup on a game day...then bring 'em back again for another tomorrow morning early.
Play with effort during games, or skate yourself into the ice in practices.

I don't think they have the right leadership AND the core group doesn't appear to be exerting influence and control, nor leading by example on ice.

Maybe it's me, but Donnie doesn't sound the same in his press conferences this year. Not sure if deflated is the right term, but he certainly doesn't have the same enthusiasm in his answers. Sounds like he's just out of answers at this point. I know others have said, but I'm starting to come around to the same feeling that he's a good development coach but not a good NHL coach.
I've always thought that a coach who just keeps changing up lines hoping for a better result doesn't have any other answers. If this keeps up he might last the year but that's it. I'm no fan of Terry but I will give him credit for only giving meatballs a 2 year extension.
