Lol maybe that's why Peters is pushing the "Sabres are for sale narrative" hoping some rich bumhole picks up on it.

Please start a twatter campaign to the Ryan Reynolds… I don’t twatter…. But Ryan needs to buy the Sabres, they are close enough to Canada. And pegs needs to sell to cover stadium overages

Hate to say it, but I do wonder if Tage going down and our abysmal start here dissuade him from coming here.

Take off the Nickers, and put on your Big Boy Hockey Pants and play Hockey.

Yup, agreed.

I am not absolving Granato by any means, he is not the guy IMO that will lead the team to the Cup. He may well have developed a solod portion of the players that eventually (we pray) will play in SC games.
His Assistants are bogus..Matt Frigin Ellis as Offensive Coach...seriously? Him and Wilford are clearly in over their heads.

That said, time for the kids gloves to come off and start having these leaders and core players become accountable. The current lackluster effort and play is unacceptable, period.

Get your poop together guys. Maybe talk a little nasty to each other.
5-0 and 2 BS goals...F you.

Good. Team needs a whole new leadership group. From the top all the way down. The only way I see that happening any time soon is if they just finish at or near the bottom of the league. Even then it's probably a pipe dream. Last summer actually would've been the time to tim murray this team. They need a tim murray type (someone with a pair)

This Daddy Day Care crap has to stop. Sometimes you have to Yell at someone to get your point across. Holding his hand doesn't always do it.

Sure it gets heated with them Texting Each other. Young folks don't talk anymore, my Son could be sitting in a room with 3 other friends and they still talk by Texting.

People giving Granato credit for developing players is ridiculous.

This team is a mess. How about players developed in spite of Granato

Tage, Dahlin, Skinner, Mitts and Joker would all suggest he's good at developing players. It's what got him a job on the USA's Development Program. Just because he's not succeeding doesn't mean he's awful at everything 69.

Yes and no. I think players like Dahlin would have figured it out regardless. When you're that good, that's what happens.

However, moving Tage Thompson from wing to center was the best move this franchise made in a decade, especially when you consider usually careers are saved by doing the opposite. And that was Granato's call.

There were so many ways to go about improving this roster

Bringing the band back with clifton, Erik johnson and a bunch of rookies should be a fireable offense in year 4 of rebuild 2nd edition

And the list of players who didn't develop is not his fault though?

What did Granato do to develop Tage that another coach couldn't do?

Jokiharu is 24 years old and has yet to put a full season together where he is a top 4 defender. What did Granato do there to develop him that other coaches couldnt?

How about Asplund development? Bjork? Bryson?

I think the move to C gets overstated and he would have made the same jump at RW. The big change in Tage was that he started physically dominating and that was going to show wherever he played.

Granato developed Dahlin?

Thats like saying McLellan developed McDavid or Babcock developed Matthews or Lindy Ruff developed Jack Hughes.

Dahlin was the first overall pick that Lidstrom said Dahlin would be better than him.

If anything from Lidstrom's comment suggests Granato has stunted his growth.

Dahlin was predicted to be as good as Lidstrom and right now he is nowhere close.
