Why Harbaugh, what type of game-plan would he bring to the Bills?
- washedup20

For one, this Bible-thumping, clap-happy, no one is held accountable for anything and we’re a happy family culture would go away.

I need a coach to motherfück a player, not be his dad making up for lost time.

He is a proven winner no matter where he goes. McDermott has run his course as a HC in the NFL and 2 years from now, if all is well in the world, he will be just another Jim Schwartz. Back to being a DC, which is what he’s good at.

I have been advocating for Weegar for about a year now.

Agree. 4th line needs the most work; then 3 rd line, second:
We need 3 new players for 4th. No one on active roster is a good 4th line player currently.
3 rd line will depend on who we can acquire to bolster the 2nd line, but could use an upgrade. We need real centers that can actually win face offs.

- lulags

Faceoffs don't matter!
Guess we just play the game and see what happens, it would surprise me if Adams did anything this year.

He's in the first year of an 8 year deal paying him over $6M per until he's 37.

Still want him?

He has a prime opportunity to strike first and turn this around. Nashville, Edmonton desperate. Let’s see if he can look around the room and identify the mark! I’m with you, I have little to no confidence he can or will

Looking at the roster and if they sign Mitts to a extension there's a real possibility that 1/2 are good prospects never see the ice with the Sabres. Sabres will have to go unconventional if they think they can fit them all. And you can't just build a team that way, got to have a few of those Dirty hard nosed players who have seen the Wars and Battles. They need to figure this stuff out, and it's coming quicker than it seems Adams can handle

Exactly. We have too many small, skilled forwards. All very similar. Where do they fit? Why are we so afraid to part with one?

Well still want to make the best choice on which one's to keep. Evaluation for the Sabres right now is at its peak. They are gonna have to trade a few, but need to make sure or hopefully make sure your trading the right one.

If that best choice takes ~ 3 years or more to make, is it the right choice for the team or player?

Yeah, kind of need to roll the dice and let 1,2 go. If not, we will be in this “rebuild” for another 5 years

No, that's why evaluations should be at its peak, this needs to be looked at soon.

If they get a player or players that propel them to the next level and beyond, why does it matter if they traded prospects that actually turned into good players?

Is the goal really to keep the best toys while trading junk for gold?

Doesn't usually work that way.

Not a lot of Drouin for Sergachev examples out there.

Not saying trading junk, just what guys might fit better. Gonna have to trade a good player to get one, just hope to keep the one that might fit what you're doing better. All that I am really saying.

Benson and Savoie look to be both very good players. If I decided to trade one, I probably pick Benson and keep him because I believe he fits better. Still trading a very good prospect, just think the other one fits what I need better.

I don't care if they trade away a better fit, if it means a player or players come back in the trade that fit areas of need on the team, and propel the team forward to where it needs to be.

The NFL is investigating why the Bengals did not list QB Joe Burrow on their injury report when the team posted a picture of him wearing a device on his wrist Wednesday night and he appeared to be hampered by the injury early in the Thursday night game that he later left, the league confirmed today.

The initial picture of Burrow wearing a devi...

That's cool, just think with the quality and quantity the Sabres have they can do both.

To get what we need, it’s going to take a Savoie type in the package, for sure

WHY THE BRUINS WON’T SPLIT UP THEIR GOALIE TANDEM

NBC SPORTS BOSTON: Nick Goss pointed out that the Bruins goaltending tandem of Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman has been bailing out the club’s leaky defense of late. That’s why it would make little sense to trade one or the other for a top-six center or a top-six winger.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: Teams in dire need of a goaltending upgrade (hello there, Edmonton Oilers!) have been mentioned as possible trade partners if the Bruins were willing to part with Ullmark or Swayman. However, Bruins GM Don Sweeney is unlikely to move either guy.

Before the start of this season, Sweeney said that maintaining his goalie tandem would keep his club competitive as they adjust to the retirements of Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci. Ullmark and Swayman have held up their end of the bargain thus far. They’re a big reason why the Bruins are jostling with the Vegas Golden Knights for first place in the overall standings.
