>>> I said it the other day, I get the upside of improving the defense. And I also think it’s concerning they can’t play well offensively without giving up a ton defensively. But, they need to bring back the offense from last year. Lean into it. It’s their only chance

They're playing like they're driving a broken down Dodge Omni from the 80's.

Everything is slow, methodical, and painfully easy to defend, often with multiple players standing around while one player attempte to enter the offensive zone, with no team speed behind it.

Bring back the Ferrari!

Agreed, but I didn't expect him to be this bad. It's time to get rid of Wilford and bring in a good Defensive mind.
- Buff36

Two years in a row of bringing in a low end defenseman by giving them term, in hopes they'll be as good or better then where they came from.

Also two years in a row they'll likely be looking to offload the very player they brought in.

Moral of the story: Stop buying from the (frank)ing bargain bin.

Maybe not, but it sure looks like the attacking style has been coached out of them.

Also super frustrating that they constantly look clueless against trapping teams.

Watching Mittelstadt attempt to break though a wall of 4 Devils last night while 3 to 4 Sabres stood stationary at the blue line made me turn the channel.

Pathetic to watch.

I am the last one that needs to be told that. Geez I was told to shut up on here because I was talking defense to much. It's a pet peeve of mine ever since they drafted Dahlin and did nothing to help him. Conversations for 4yrs have led to them doing the same thing to Power and know if they don't watch out will be another player lost for 4yrs until he finds himself.

The is Adams 2nd total plan failure in 4 seasons. Total failure, not 1 thing wrong, complete failure from top to bottom.

there is zero reasons to carry 3 goalies after last night

pick one of the 2 that played last night and send them down/waive them

call up rousek, biro or big mur so you can run a normal practice with 13/8/2

I love how when we call up a first round prospect that is slotted to be in the top 6 in the nhl

they play top line in the ahl

they produce like a top line in the ahl

and they get buried playing 4th line roles and get 4th line minutes

it's not biro, rousek or murray called up it was 2 first round draft picks

It’s a country club, get paid and sit back. Adams signed a core of players who are professionally, career losers.

“William Charles Wolford is an American former professional football player who was an offensive lineman in the National Football League for the Buffalo Bills, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played college football for the Vanderbilt Commodores.”

Well no wonder the Wilford can’t coach the hockey, Terry hired the ex Buffalo player from the wrong sport. He probably just got a little confused….

I don’t know how to check the fancy stats. But I got money that BooshCan has better fancy stats than E Johnson, Clifton and at least 1 more d man on the Sabres roster.

In this instance, top 5 GM and super president Terry would have been better off, keeping BooshCan and rolling with Ryan Johnson… but they needed defensive dad!

Gotta keep enjoying that crap sammich…

I wish Terry would just throw in the towel, sell, or hire a president and get the f out of the way

If you want to keep Donnie, then they need to bring in better Assistant Coaches, Wilford is a Turd burger and Ellis should never everrrrrrrr run a PP or Offense.

That’s only 2 for for Adam’s…. Now do Terry, he has to be on utter failure 7 or 8 by now.

The blame for the crap sammich needs to placed where it belongs, right in front of pegs.

It’s not Adam’s fault he is a home grown rink manager that is learning on the job, Terry groomed him for this!
