Agreed, might help Power become aware that he is a giant too.
- washedup20

I don't have any doubt that Power will develop the physical side of his game.

Dahlin has already been in his ear about it.

What would Adams say?

I'm generally curious, because I have no idea what his plan is, aside from hoarding 376 prospects and selling hope until the day he's completely bald.

I know you agree, but no (frank)ing poop on it not being ideal.

Are they going to sit on their hands again and wait for Tage, Quinn and perhaps Kane to join the team?

These (frank)ing guys take 30 minutes to poop, when they should be getting work done.

- kingcong39

Here's where you're at. You've got two top 6 forwards out until Christmas. Then on offense, you have a captain, assistant captain, Void, Void Jr and Jost who do absolutely nothing for you.

He made this bed. Reforming the bottom half of the roster when you're a month ish into the season is probably, highly improbable. And that's if he actually wanted to.

He did this, now he gets to watch this zeppelin burn. Because we don't have a coach that can get these guys playing as an effective unit, we have half an offense, and we hired a 3.25M penalty killer and a 3.33 million bottom pair.

My realistic hope is that, at this point, you have Kane, Quinn and Thompson here on Christmas and you send Void into the Mirror Realm. Trade out Krebs or Jost for a 4C and use Biro, Rousek or a mid round pick to achieve it. They're not that expensive.

Lastly, your coaching needs a different approach to get these guys moving on the PP and playing in front of the net.

These are realistic changes a team can make in-season.

Half the team will have 3years burned on there Contracts, we will have wasted years of Tuch and Skinner. It's a Fantastic Plan.
- Buff36

By the time the current management group decides to make real moves and decisions, Tage will be 30, both Skinner and Tuch will be UFA's, and Adams will be unemployed.

Well then Yes, especially Pesce or Tanev.
- Buff36

Apparently Pesce made it very clear he had no interest in coming to Buffalo this past summer when the Sabres inquired and the Canes seemed willing, but Pesce was not enthused with the idea of being a Sabre.

Bring in Tim Connolly as a consultant and see if he can lend some Wisdom. The guy is around more than ever lately.

It normally is, but the Sabres are uniquely positioned to be able to do something about it by bringing up and giving extended looks to both Rosen and Kulich.

If neither work out, they go back to Rochester.

No harm there.

If either or both work out, then bench, waive and trade the array of black hole bums.

We know they're not going to do that, because they seem to have some kind of Vulcan death grip on Zemgus, Kyle, Olofsson, Jost and Bryson.

Let's not forget, this is his second attempt to build a roster to actually compete. Anybody remember how his first attempt went?

It lead to Taylor Hall cashing his checks while wearing a ski mask, but everybody conveniently blames all that on Ralph.

That's the rumor, but he's a FA this summer so Adams would really need to Crank up the BBQ's and get a new set of Knee Pads to have any chance.

Whoa now what’s wrong with a nice long dump? I make sh¡tting an event that rivals the moon landing. We’re talking epic heat rising from the bowl and I literally start floating afterward that’s how much of an excavation it is.

They went into the offseason hoping (yes) that one prospect would be good enough to take over for Olofsson until Quinn arrived. This is a fact.

Benson, who I'm certain they didn't expect, was able to accomplish this.

They expected Krebs to continue his play. For some reason, same with Kyle. Zemgus too. Jost is a 2M 13th forward, so, cool.

So they'd trot into the season with 13F's and Quinn on IR.

Benson came out on top, and if it wasn't him, it was probably Biro staying here.

Hate to burst the Kulich bubbles but I tried to explain that they showed their hand with him not being ready by not giving him an audition at the end of last year. My guess, they gave him and Rosen their respective runs in the preseason and they still need more from them. They're 20, it's whatever. I'm personally excited about both.

Their forwards as a whole are in regression, for whatever the individual reasons may be. But your bottom 6, bottom 3 being incredibly ineffective is causing a massive issue.

So to finally answer your question, no, he's not waiting on the prospects. He just bet on red and landed on black.

Not giving Bryson the time of day, and Olofsson with a healthy roster, is one (two?) good things Granato has done.

Probably dumb to hope, but they may want to see where Kane goes before they do anything else. Not saying it's right, it's just my guess on their process. Which I do not trust.

More like Void 2.0 since Olofsson has twice as many goals in half as many games

I am still trying to figure out what that was? 25 point 4th-liner?

I like his fire, but let’s be real, he is lanky, awkward, sucks at faceoffs, can’t throw a check, can’t cash a puck, constantly passes into people’s skates and basically is just kind of there.

I will say, Krebs/Jost/Murray should be our 4th line instead of Girgensons/Krebs/Okposo but Kevyn already took a fat dump on this season so it really doesn’t matter at this point.
