JJ's had a nice start, Clifton looks like a big mistake. Easy to make the leap that trading for a better D could have been better than settling for Clifton. Can't be terrified to trade a young player and try to improve your team.

Girgs, Okposo, Jost, Clifton, Johnson. Their offseason is looking worse every day.

- Lunaion

And it was all finished by July 10th, what a F@cking offseason. Well atleast 4 out of 5 are 1yr Deals and don't hurt or matter. Hey what could have 11mill gotten us!

Yeah, Hathaway the guy that made Cozens catch the Rainbow

He would have been a nice bottom 6 add, over any of LOG or VO.

What team decides to extend their overpaid, aging bottom 6?

Remember when the Leafs signed Ryan Reaves to address toughness then Marchand corkscrewed Liljegren and knocked him out long term and there was no response aside from Reaves addressing it in the media for weeks after the fact ?

If you were paying attention, you’d know that the media hasn’t attacked our star players after that.

That’s how good Reaves is.

There were a lot out there Lunaion, Adams missed the Ball. It was a good offseason to rebuild or add Value to your bottom 6 or 3. And some guys with the Leadership of being through the Wars and Battles.

It’s very obvious now that Adams was just buying time. There was no intention of this team taking the next step this year.

He’s so good that they had to sit him in the press box so their bottom 6 wasn’t an albatross any longer.

Donnie can take a page out of Keefe’s book and learn how to manage a roster, that would be nice,

I think there was intention, then he got cold feet. They were slow on the Girgs + Jost extensions for a reason. We know they wanted a bigger upgrade on D and in G. We know they wanted an add at F.

The coaching staff is hesitant to make the right decisions in regards to roster optimization for the sake of the “culture” and not rubbing players the wrong way.

Yet, if they continue to lose hockey games the “culture” will go to $hit anyways.

The Hockey Guy thinks they might fire Donnie if the lose tonight.

I know they won't, and don't think he's getting this from any kind of source, but that's what a neutral outsider thinks.

There's a lot of questions right now.

What does analytics actually do for them?

No GM is going to help Adams, they will exploit the hole he dug himself. The trade value of these similar style players/prospects is declining with each loss. By the sound of it, wasn't that high this off season already.

RPO every snap for Allen, let him run at his discretion.

28-12 Bills, Murray and Allen to score.

It’ll probably be 11-10 Jets 😂

I think we let loose on these chumps and stomp them 42-10

Stupidity on Cozens’ part to fight at that point of the game.

Instead of punching faces, how about fielding a power play that doesn’t piss down its leg

That will win you some franking hockey games

- Swedish_Jesus

Sabres play for style points. How many razzle dazzle passes you can string together is much better than doing boring things like putting the biscuit in the basket.

However, the razzle dazzle passes have 39% chance of being picked off and rushed back the other way. But who cares?

When push came to shove, I think KA went with Donnie on their offseason signings as well.

What have you seen from Rosen, Kulich, Savoie, or Benson to suggest that their value as prospects are falling ?

If anything, Rosen and Kulich should be playing tonight in Chicago

We should sign Eric Boutlon’s son out of Junior. Plays for the London Knoghts and would instantly be the toughest guy we have had since Rayzor.

Rosen, isn't getting you a 14th overall pick.
Kulich, would get a 27th pick, if you believe his coach, his success in the ahl wouldn't translate to the NHL, he has a lot to learn.
Savoie, no way you're getting a top 10 pick for him
Benson, he's been average on a bad team, I'm not sure why he is in the NHL.

They all have plenty of potential, none of them fill the voids in the NHL roster because they all play the same roles.

When you have volume of the same thing and its publicly known, the price drops.

Don't forget Noah Ostlund.....this kid needs a decade to develop and was picked 16th overall
