Skunk can take a punch looked like he ate a couple of good ones.

Pretty fun fight to see

Sam was playing rough and tough around the net, paying the price …….

Kinda feel like pk88 lands in florida?
Any thoughts?

Sabres 5v5
xGF = 36
aGF = 43
League Avg = 39

HDCF = 141
HDGF = 12

xGA = 38.8
aGA = 43
League Avg = 39

HDCA = 155
HDGA = 21

I continue to believe the:
- Scoring Issues are mostly tied directly to the PP, yet who wouldn't want more aGF.
- aGA and HDCA are prime focus factors for 5v5...fix that and some of their woes go away.

Continue to focus on building their defensive game and good things will happen.
- play Girgs, Okie and E Johnson less
- shelter Olo more while Tage and Quinn are out
- increase R Johnson's minutes
- push Sammy down with Cliffy on 3rd pair

If he wants to win another Championship, it isn't in Chicago nor Buffalo for the next couple seasons
If he wants money and multiple year contract, Buffalo is a reasonable spot.

Well just talked with a my Friend, sounds like the Bills are trying to rework a couple more Contracts. Beane has his eye on a new FA. Will see the Bills are really getting to the point where there kicking the can and gonna sacrifice some stuff Cap wise soon.

They really could even there D pairs out if they did what you say. It could help keep Samuelsson healthy and he can always move up pairs to help with ice time or if someone is having a clunker. They really need to start trusting some of there Youth if they want to take the next step.

Those numbers get a little skewed by games played. Sabres have played more games than most so far.

Sabres are 14th in GF/60 at 5v5, 24th in xGF.
15th in GA/60, 19th in xGA.

If there PP were avarage, they'd have 4 more goals. If their PK was average, they'd have given up 5 more goals. Taking too many penalties has been a problem that hasn't cost them too badly.

Their S% is close to league avarage, they just don't generate enough. Nothing close to last season.

Good post

I could see pk88 wanting another cup run or 2.

Florida is built to win now

How much more would the Sabres really have to offer $ wise?

Probably $ and term favors Buffalo / Chicago imo

The team penalty differential will shift eventually, but they've turned into a very vanilla team, and I don't think it has to do with Quinn being out so far and Tage being injured.

Chicago -= Chicago

Would be a comfortable fit with bedard and his former city

Detroit is also a good option for pk88 , just doesn’t feel like a likely destination imo

Detroit is winning , so maybe?

That’s an interesting thought, but winning has to be #1 for a guy like pk88 imo

Or a trade deadline handshake if the team is heading in the wrong playoff direction

Wondering if the transition to a more Defensive Style would have gone easier if they had brought Peca up to work with the Forwards in this aspect. A guy who could Teach while yes be more Defensively sound but still push the pace Offensively.

Slightly below average offensively, defensively, and in goal while playing a more boring brand of hockey. Fun times.

Chicago hasn't been mentioned by any of the national writers who are in the know.

It's been Florida as the most aggressive, followed by Detroit and Buffalo.

Sucks rooting for the Islanders, minus the winning, as that's what they play like now.

and Kane's camp leaking that this is the week for the last month.

Makes me think he's just using Terry/KA to drive a market.

Yes, and hopefully the Sabres aren't taking the bait as they've been down this road before with Babcock, Brad Richards, and Stamkos, among others.

Chicago seems like a natural fit, although they are rebuilding

Buffalo needs a splash move for ticket sales , yesterday was only the 2nd home sell out.

I think we get on a roll and start gaining some points with a 8-10 game point streak
