Only next season. According to capfriendly the pick will upgrade to a 2nd if Allen plays in 40 or more games in 2024-25 AND if Allen is a member of a club that qualifies for the playoffs(so if we make the playoffs or trade him to a team that makes the playoffs)

He says he's going big game hunting for goalie so we'll see. Seems like a pretty good bet that one of Markstrom/Saros/Ullmark is likely going to be our starter with Allen as our backup. Maybe there's a surprising name out there that nobody has talked about yet though.

Agreed. Based on the reports out there is seems Markstrom will cost us Holtz and Saros/Ullmark will cost us Mercer, among other things obviously. So it may just end up being Markstrom based on price unless Fitz is actually willing to pay up and move Mercer.

Excited to see how it all goes down this summer. Gotta imagine there's a good amount of roster turnover. Wouldn't be shocked to see a completely revamped bottom 6 and a change or two on the back end, on top of the new goalie. Plus the coaching search. Fitz is going to be very busy lol.

Depends who is out there, rumors are Sullivan may be out in Pitts so should take a look

The bottom 6 sure needs work and not sure what prospects we have that are ready to fill that role

Basically yes. We really have to win 99% of the games. So many teams right there with us.

Every other game, if not more, we’re not sharp. Is it a youth problem? A coaching problem? How can teams be so dumb so often? They’re professional hockey players. Sometimes not in the mood to focus and play?

They just look so disinterested. Professionals. Making millions lol. Passive, disinterested, ridiculous.

Management feels we have been a different team and have been playing differently under him(we actually have not, we've been just as bad. Just getting bailed out by good goaltending). Mentions that he's not a slam dunk for the job though. Other candidates could possibly be Gallant, Berube, and McLellan, among others.

Fitz should be fired on the spot if he tells ownership he's going to hire Green as the full time coach.

Fully agree. Sullivan would be by far my #1 target if Pitt fires him, then Woodcroft would be next. Couple other guys I like beyond that but those would be my top 2 candidates. This coaching hire is massive, Fitz needs to nail it. I'm not sure I have faith in him being able to make the right decision, if that list that LeBrun mentioned is who they're actually targeting.
