The little I’ve seen.. aside from the occasional mistake.. Nemec is a PLAYER. To be this young and read plays that well on both ends of the ice, he’s confident without being foolish. But maybe the numbers say otherwise and I’m wrong.

I get that they don't want to wear Schmid out, but VV is going to have to play one of the back to backs this weekend, and again they have five games in eight days. It makes no sense to play him tonight. If he plays that's just poor coaching. Schmid can get rest when they bring in a capable 1B.

Yeah theres no world Gibson commands that kind of return lmao, especially with that contract. There have been multiple reports over the last week linking us to Gibson again, so of course Ek is late on that one, but the supposed cost he is reporting is absurd. I wouldnt trade anything more than like Vanecek, a 3rd, and a mid tier prospect like Stillman. Maybe i would upgrade the prospect to like Clarke or Filmon if the Ducks ate half. Theres no world a Mercer, Holtz, Casey, Gritsyuk, or Hameenaho go in a Gibson deal.

We're not trading for him anyway so its a moot point, that contract is awful without any retention and i dont see the Ducks retaining with it having 3 more seasons left. He's not a big enough upgrade over what we have to make taking on the full contract worth it.

Nico Daws has been recalled from Utica and will backup Schmid. The team says Vanecek was feeling "off" physically(non-illness) this morning and they're holding him out tonight.

McLeod has more goals then Meier. What a waste
