The devil’s advocate in me will say that Buffalo took 14 points off the board through their own mistakes, not because the D stopped them. If Gabe just stops and turns around instead of running away from the ball, and the clock running out at halftime.

This was Vic Fangio's best game against Allen, which was only "good" because Allen tried to give the game to him for 3 quarters. His only answer is to hope and pray that Allen acts like a child with ADHD, and it's still not enough.

Well this home stand would be a good start, there's 4 winnable games there with Vancouver and Tampa mixed in. The Sabres need help, they control nothing.

The entire Sabres roster needs to talk with Allen and learn what resilience means, and how to never give up no matter what.

- The Sens beat them 5-1 last time they played each other, that will not be an easy game, the Sens bully the Sabres.

- Canucks will be a win because that's how Sabres logic works

- The Sharks should be a W for a desperate Sabres

- The Sabres should beat the breaks off Chicago

- The lightning, if we are already assuming this game as a loss (I am) the Sabres are not a playoff caliber team as they hold the final wild card spot.

The Sabres are known for poor home play, at a minimum they need to go 4-2. Anything less than that, this front office needs to start making adjustments, not even for this season but to begin to straighten the ship and look towards next season.

When Josh gets into cowboy mode, you have to take the bad with the great. The coach needs to (and I believe they have since removing Dorsey) make the rest of the team adjust to Allen, he's that dominant...and destructive.

As much as I do think Fangio's only real attribute is that he's put in his time in this league, he pretty much went with the only gameplan he could given what he had to work with: blitz the snot out of Allen and hope for the best. If Allen keeps his head like he did the first Miami game, the Bills win by 2 or 3 scores. Unfortunately, this is what you get with him and why the Favre/Elway/Rivers comparisons will always be valid.
