The problem isn't about playing the game in the weather. It's about getting 70,000 people in and out of Orchard Park, where the storm is supposed to hit its worst right around now and 4-5pm. Despite our reputation as a city where it snows a lot, 99% of people drive through it like they have an IQ of about 35. Couple that with alcohol and you'll likely end up with gridlock on highways like the 219.

Some of the 219 is closed to and the 400. I live in Hamburg about 10 minutes from the Stadium and we are getting hit pretty good right now. Been coming and going.

Banks all federal and state buildings, don't think Businesses have to follow that. But the Post Office is closed.

What is the downside of pushing the game a day?

Some fans won't be able to go due to work?

Perhaps the 430 start time helps with that?

I just watched someone get pulled over for what I hope was something other than the ban. Cars whizzing up and down Broadway. It isn't snowing here and I can see pavement

The NFL had no intentions on moving or postponing the game because they said so themselves to shut down all the bogus reports on Friday. Declaring a state of emergency and issuing driving bans to pressure the NFL and keeping this ban in place for the duration of the day stinks big time. Sorry if you disagree

I am going to go on record. Buffalo is (frank)ing awful with its chest pumping about being able to handle snow and then when it happens you see how stupid people actually are.

Virtually no businesses close for MLK day nor several other Federal Holidays.
4:30 start time wast selected to minimize the impact on those working with minimizing impact on the later game.

Yes and no. Driving bans should be precise. No other county ever had a driving ban during this storm except Erie County, despite pretty much all of the counties being in a Winter Storm Warning until tomorrow morning. If you wanted to have an overnight driving ban, where most vehicles aren't even on the road anyway, to salt and pre-plow, that's one thing. As much as I am not bothered by moving the game, given when and where the storm is supposed to be at its worst, leaving the driving ban in place for all of Erie County, especially north of the City of Buffalo, is just lazy grandstanding at this point.
