Bill Belichik knows how to make halftime adjustments. He knows the opponent is going to have a plan to stop what was working against them in the first half, and has a counter adjustment of his own already figured out. McD was more concerned with trying to keep the ball away from Mahomes, even when KC started stuffing the run game that was gashing them in the first half. The fake punt reeked of desperation more than any slyness on the coach’s part.
After all of that, they still could’ve won that game, with a few big catches made instead of more dropped opportunities.

Andy basically said they schemed some of there pass plays to confuse Klein, they new he couldn't cover Kelce.
