so you become a worse leader as you g

it's more the case that the core they drafted and depend on were immature and the coaches allowed that to continue

- homiedclown

ROR hadn't done Sh!t playoff wise before he came here, Staal couldn't wait to get out the door

some of those players were over the hill, but the topic was leadership, not their play

and of course ror with the middle finger to the fans

just keep telling yourself kane was brought in to be a leader, it's a funnier post

- homiedclown

Play is part of leadership when being the leader on the team.

Pretty sure everyone, yourself included, complain about Slowpokes ability while being the leader of the team.

Most wanted him to retire. Well its the same case with all those over the hillers. They werent the RIGHT leaders for the job.

I know im typing in English and not American but gawd damn old man

Watching Levi last night you could see him get better as the game went on they really are screwing this up, he can't sit for as long as he did...
He should be in Rochester playing every game...

God I just hate that we have a bunch of assclown's running this org. nothing I see them do is correct...

The lines.... are you freaking kidding me last night... this has been a theme for years now.
Just sickening how 3rd rate the sabres have become.

- gordong

What if this is exactly how most of the organization felt and they buckled to get him to sign? What does that say about KA...and Levi?

Don't see any greatness on our Team, see some very Good players and Decent players. I want the complimentary pieces needed to go with them to reach Greatness.

IMO, the leadership should be from the Core. Older players can be valuable with their experience and they should be guys who have won it on their resume.

It doesn't appear that this Core has the right leadership characteristics. To me, that suggests the Core needs to be shaken up. They have no one, not one willing to run through a wall to win.

Edit: where is the Josh Allen on the team?

I see everyone is arguing about leadership. I think the Sabres problem is culture. They just aren't a franchise serious about winning. It's a place guys go to go on cruise control, get rich and hit the golf course early. It's top to bottom. I feel bad for the few guys who truly give a poop all 82 games. Imagine Tage on a real team?

We have Ruint the Blog!
homie it looks blah, and I am as pissed as you are. But there's a lot of Meat of this Sabres Team, some good talent and more coming. Management needs to Open there Eyes and see it. You cannot build a Hockey Team from all internal pieces or Draft Picks, it just takes to long to get all the pieces right. Adams can't seem to switch his plan and he desperately needs to.

I really thought Tuch be that guy that would command more of the squad but even he doesn't show up nightly. I thought he be the one running through walls.

Yup, pretty obvious.

I flash back to opening night this season and the entirety of the roster had the look of deer in the headlights.

I think our leader's note about the team expectations to qualify for the playoffs got them squeezing their sticks too tightly, and they still have figured it out.

Put another way, most key guys are mentally soft/fragile...the wrong complexion for a winning roster

Go get the guy who is going to put the boys on his back.

Who is arguing against that here?
The argument is the development path to achieve greatness, and if the current path is the optimal one...it certainly is very unusual from a FO and Coaching Staff that hasn't done it before.

- IonSabres

Better goalie prospects than him have faltered. No one should feel confident projecting him 5 years out.

Wolf, Wallstedt, Askarov, Cossa. I'm sure each of those teams feel they have the better prospect developing in a better place.

I don't know, I really don't care if guys have leadership, I care if they can play at this point. I'd take Rasmus Andersson even if he was silent in the locker-room. This fixation on vet leadership, to me, is severely overblown. Has Dahlin's play improved after hearing from Eric Johnson, who for all intents and purposes is a leadership guy? If the answer is no, maybe we slide away from bringing in leadership and start expecting it from the guys who are already here?

Tuch, Tage, Cozens, Dahlin and Skinner should be able to lead at this point.
