The one reason the Bills will fall back down to mediocrity:

Tuesday, Beane confirmed he and McDermott both report to Pegula separately, so any decision on either of their futures would come from the owner. McDermott said he hasn’t sensed any change in his approval rating in his conversations with Pegula. And Beane defended McDermott at multiple turns, both as a defensive play caller and head coach, in his press conference.

McDermott came 1st, weird its basically the only thing Beane doesn't have Control over. I don't think he wanted it, they are basically hooked at the hip. IMO if McDermott goes Beane goes and that's not because Beane was fired.

That's a mistake. Beane - who has his faults, hasn't been the reason the Bills lose in the fashion they do in the playoffs...it's all coaching.

I can tell you a 100% Beane came here because of McDermott, they had this planned as they were shuffling Whaley out the Door.

Plans change, McDerp needs to go. He doesn't have what it takes to win in the playoffs.

I still want him, he’s made the playoffs every year since 11/12’.

I don’t think you people realize how soft this youngest team in the league is.

This group needs a Reaves and multiple Foligno’s. The Sabres roster plays soft and scared.

Or continue to ignore the GM’s words last season and Cozens words this season. Ignore the slow starts, the unmotivated play, no self-respect.

Reaves would do wonders for this team, that’s how bad they are. Role players matter, the Sabres, and some fans continue to ignore that.

- washedup20

Reaves just turned 37, and hasn't played a game in over a month as a healthy scratch.

The Leafs decided they are better by not playing him.

You want that player on the team?

How valuable is he if he barely plays?

Maybe, doesn't look like that's happening. McDermott doesn't know when it's time to slow the game down or speed it up. When Josh is rolling don't real him in. Let him go. And trust your OC and don't take half the playbook away in the 2nd Half.

The Sabres are not the Maple Leafs...There is room on this roster for that 37 year old.

I'm not bringing him in to score goals...like Adams didn't bring E Johnson in to play like a #1OA draft pick.

I think his off ice personality and on the bench presence would bring confidence and stability to this group. This group knows they are soft, Reaves wouldn't allow that.

Use him as a goon, sit him on the bench until needed, he could literally sit in front of the net on the powerplay and that would probably help it.

The current 3rd and 4th lines are horrific, Reaves, at 37, sitting on the bench, is more valuable than: Jost/Olo/Greenway/Robinson/Girgs/Okposo.

Imagine someone hitting Power or Dahlin and the team knows Reaves is going to answer the call...I believe this team is desperate for that.

Of course it's not going to happen, back to my original post, Terry will allow this to continue, specifically because he extended everyone like a moron.

Not hear to fight with you, players have to execute to. Sherfield catches those balls or Diggs and we are talking differently. Do I think they should change YES, but there's plenty of blame to go around.

How much is his presence worth in the press box?

Is he going to run down from the press box to fight someone after a hit on Dahlin or Power?

Agreed. The defense, which is 100% the head coaches responsibility, failed when it mattered most....again. That's enough for me.

Still holds value, you want to continue to think the Sabres are going to manage him like the leafs, go ahead. The Sabres (frank)ing suck, he wouldn't be in the press box.

As soon as they realize he can't even make it up and down the ice to do his job and intimidate the opposition, he'll be in the press box.

That's the reason he's in the press box now for the Leafs.

So an actual good team, who has been pushed around in the playoffs for years, signed him and then quickly decided he can't keep up anymore and buried him in the press box as a result, is justified in the decision, but the Sabres should sign him and do what: not come to the same conclusion?

I say sit him on the bench, use him as needed.

"He'll have to run down from the press box!"

Makes sense.

He's in the press box now for a reason.

He'd be in the press box for the Sabres as well.

You'd essentially be dressing 11 forwards with how little he'd play.

I'm all for additions like Maroon, Trentin, Perry etc. on the 4th line.

Just not guys that cannot actually play anymore.

Advocating for a poopty team to bring in another poopty player that can't do their job is an interesting decision.

Bro, half the motherfückers here wanted Ryan Reaves. A face puncher through and through with no other talent. The Pens thought they needed him. He lasted 58 games before they sh¡tcanned him.

Nope. Wrong.
Guys like you consistently position it that way though.
