I have named them already.

As far as I remember, you only named faceoffs, where he has a 48.5% success rate. I don't see that as anything major. You mentioned puck possession which is actually a particular strength of his, so I don't see anything there.

What else?

I think he has some flaws. His strengths outweigh his weaknesses but he does have flaws. Obviously others on here feel he has weaknesses too. Don't get Nightie going on this. People on here call him pouty.

I respect the posters that love him and I understand and respect those that have issues with him.

He is a great player IMO but only a good center IMO.

People are putting up good counter arguments backed with facts. It's not fair to dismiss it as just love for the player. Your points often are backed by rumors and what fans think or speculative projections. Still, people are not summing your argument up as just hate(yet).

Weak on the puck and board battles.

I do really like the player and all this debate makes me look like I don't like him when in fact I do. I just don't like 12 mil contract and I am hoping Canucks feel the same.

He's tied for the team lead in takeaways, and has strong puck possession metrics, I just don't see it.

Obviously we'd all be celebrating if he signed for 10 mil a season but that simply isn't the market for a player of his calibre. Whatever they pay him above that will be worth it though, because the positive outcome with the largest benefit to the Canucks always involves keeping him on the team. This is obviously where we differ in opinion, but I simply see no way of getting good value out of moving on from him.

Like I said earlier, when I posted that proposal I knew exactly who the four I would be debating all afternoon with. Neem must be busy.

You can't say all I have said are rumors. Did Canucks not walk away from Bo last year?

Canucks have yet to date paid 10 mil plus AAV for any Canuck in history. I don't tink they are going to give Petey 12 mil.

I did say they were going to trade Beauvillier this year. I did say they would trade Pearson this year. I did say they would not trade Garland. It is not like I just make things up and shoot them out for fun. I believe I put a lot of thinking into what I predict. I did also predict the Zadarov trade for a second.

I am saying/predicting they won't sign Petey this year at 12 mil.

If I am wrong then so be it.

I could say ALL YOU HAVE SAID IS RUMOURS but I havent.

I keep using Bo as an example of why I think they will trade Petey if his bottom line is going to hurt the team. 3 times to Nighty, twice now to you. In spite of that, you seem to think I won't accept trading him. I said the same thing about Bo. Once they signed Miller, I accepted they had to trade Bo. He was looking at market money but it wasn't going to work for the team. I had no issues.

I'm way more reasonable on this than you suggest.

I just seen a funny Tweet.

If you pass your driving test ICBC will issue you a drivers license. If you fail the driving exam you are issued a White Tesla.

Maybe it is the way I write things down but I am not upset with you at all. Not even close to upset. I was in fact enjoying the discussion.

Watching the Penguins Panthers game, must be at least the 6th Penguins game this season, that I have been able to watch. That Crosby kid is 1 fantastic player, and extremely smart, solid and no doubt, still a top 5 centre in this league.

Other than the top 3 in the league, I don't see many that are above him, maybe about equal to.

You have your top two centers in the league in McDavid and MacKinnon and then you have about five guys who are all grouped together imo, Crosby is definitely in that group. Pettersson and Miller are in that group btw.

Disputes arise from people's uncertainty about things. When faced with the facts, there will be no disputes. Therefore, both parties in the dispute have at least one thing in common, that is, what they are disputing is an uncertain matter. Speaking of Pettersson, we aren’t quite sure if he’s good or not, otherwise, there will be no augments, that's probably the truth. Pettersson was that yogurt in the fridge that smells ok but expired a week ago; you aren’t quite sure if it’s good or not. But we don't eat the expired food in our fridge, it's garbage, we don't want to gamble and risk our health on that, its not worth it, don’t we? Nobody is sure who he is, the management wants to "wait and see" who he is, the coaching staff are not quite sure where they should put him, even himself is not quite sure what he wants to be, still can't figure out what stick he wants to use. the point is when Canucks sign a huge contract, they just can't afford to put huge money and terms on this guy and gamble with their future, that will be a huge mistake.

If Patrice Bergeron was still playing he’d be top three with McDavid and MacKinnon. As for the rest, obviously Matthews is right there, I don’t think he’s an elite center, he most definitely is an elite goal scorer though. Matthews, Draisaitl, Crosby, Pettersson, Barkov, Aho, Miller, Jack Hughes, Brayden Point…..you’re really splitting hairs with that next tier of centers.

If I had to pick five top centers in the league right now, I’d choose McDavid (generational player) MacKinnon, Matthews, Crosby and Draisaitl. That’s just me.

My next five would be Pettersson, Miller, Point, Aho and….Barkov…he’s not a point machine but he’s a really great 200 foot player. Point is an honourable mention. Jack Hughes can go fuck his hat.

I have a bet with Makita. You didn't spell your name by mistake did you?

I blamed it on a broken keyboard. Your sentence structure and punctuation backs up my point.

His opinion was you were just not that smart.
