And to me this is it, you don't like Pettersson and make exaggerated statements that make him out as an inferior player.
This is a team, not sure you understand that concept, but this is a team buying into the team concept where every player plays for one another. - Makita
come on man, I want Canucks to win SC, we have a different view of how to be an SC contender just like you have yours, at the end of the day yours and mine don't count |

Hughes & Miller drive the PP. Petey hangs out on the 1/2 wall static doesn’t do much. One timer or a whiff or back to Hughes. - Nighthawk
Good god, now you want to make exaggerated statements, here is one for you, without Pettersson the team is outside the last wildcard. Without Miller the team is still 1st overall. |

Miller 8m is 10.44% of the cap. Looks like a team concept contract to me. Most points even. |

Ok if you can tell me if Petey gets 12m he’s 50% better & 50% more important in the team concept?
This for a player with a lower PPG as a Canuck. |

Yes, he had a good time on that Lotto line, his inability to drive a line as a 2C was why they created the Lotto line and tried to get him going, and what happened in the last 3-4 games( as Toc said), you forgot? - sxqhfeh
Before Petey was put on Miller's line, it was also stale. It was Petey driving the lotto line while it was hot. He didnt join a hot line... it exploded when he was added.
You are spinning a lot of alternate facts.
Yes, he cooled off and like Toc said, it happens.. It's a long season. He gave the media poop for blowing his comment out of proportion and feeding people like you a reason to be negative. I posted the link previously.... BACKREAD

But but but it was his wingers dragging him down. Pay the man 12m+ - Nighthawk
Your day started off with you trying to start a fight with me. Then you left and all day we had a civil discussion about this topic. No one was trolling or firing shots. Then you come back in the evening and start trolling and firing shots.
I gave you two days to start fresh without the poop slinging and both days you opened up firing shots. You have a lot of nerve hiding behind your myth that you are only trying to have a mature discussion.

I’m a diehard & want nothing more than a cup. I’m not pumping Petey’s tires like the fanboys defending him. All I’ve ever meant was 12m hasn’t been earned & not paying for potential. Nope no way. There is not one single example of pay forward that worked & jump on that boat is dumb dumb dumb. |

Pretty simple 50% or more than the highest paid Canuck doesn’t fall into team concept contract. |

Of course it's a good contract right now. Keep in mind he signed that going on 3 years ago and what will look like later since we keep circling back to the teams future and contracts.

Lurking was a blast. Watched other ppl say what ppl don’t like hearing. Quite the divided opinions. Not 1 person said trade him out of hand. The highschool Pouty crud was put aside.
This is Hughes team & where he goes others follow. |

I actually enjoyed the conversation from this afternoon, but making up bs to malign a player has always bugged me. So the post you quoted was me just making up bs like the other 2 guys have been doing.
I believe in the team, the coaches, players, management and I certainly have no control over contracts or contract values and trust management to make decisions best for the team...if that means 12 for Petey, 7-8 for Hronek, 3 for Joshua, trade Petey, Hronek, Joshua then so be it. |

you can call me a "hater" if you want, but I am NOT, I like him as a player, Toc said he had a few good moves, and I like his moves, I bought my two sons his jersey, I just don't like his next contract, it will lead to an unproductive salary structure this team will go nowhere, and handing to the chances to EMD and Toronto to win the SC in next 5 yrs and it is unacceptable |

I asked for & got a Petey jersey for Xmas of 2021. If he gets a Leafs type contract you can have it. If he gets traded cuz of his ask you can have it. No player screwing the cap balance is worth a crap to me. Idgaf about their wallet if money comes before a cup & that is exactly what it is if over 12%. Cap increase projected at 5% or 87.675m. 12% is 10.5m |

One of our top players not our top player. So pay him how much over the highest contract that is a team concept contract. Given he is younger & that does carry weight but how much weight? |

I can only make that assumption based on the words you post, most hardcore fans hope Pettersson doesn't request/demand outrageous sums of money, and if he does I'm with Vantel and think Allvin will move him. The overall health and future of the club is the primary concern, not one individual. |

Laughable Fanboys are screaming to pay Petey $12m and Hronek $8m, that would surely sink this team for the next 10 years if those deals were offered to these two |

In my opinion you are wrong, Pettersson knows exactly who he is and what talent he has. Tocchet knows who he is and what his talent is, Alvin knows who he is and what his talent is.
There are people that have been harping on players for years, Crosby (Cindy), Sedins (sisters), McDavid (McCrybaby, Mcwienerhead)
I agree with both sides of the conversation today, if Pettersson next contract demand will be detrimental to signing other players he will be traded. If he and Allvin work out a contract extension great. But everyone knows what Pettersson talent is. Even Reuby and his Pouty schtick. - Makita
I have been trying to stay out of the Pouty discussion, but no doubt, he's got some talent. |
