John Scott is an insider for Chicago and NBC. No way he goes on record and says what he said if it ain’t true. I think he was told to walk it back. It makes sense to me as Scott explained that they are ultra sensitive in Chicago right now. And the fact Perry drunkenly flirted with a media member pissed team management off.
To me, that makes a lot of sense. - bloatedmosquito
Why do you so badly want to defend Perry? We'll probably find out eventually what really happened, and in the meantime he's still playing and getting paid. |

Oh boy… don’t get your woke panties in a knot. What am I defending? I just thought Scott’s explanation made sense. |

??
Scott basically said "I was wrong, I take it back" and you're saying you don't believe him, but you believe the thing he said in the first place? Seems weird. |

As I’ve already posted…
If it was more than flirting then why would the NHL allow him to keep playing, especially considering the microscope they are under, and why would Edmonton sign him and risk a PR disaster when they are currently rewriting nhl history?
Are you saying the NHL and Edmonton Oilers don’t consider sexual harassment a serious matter?
Too minor to file a law suit but egregious enough for a suspension. Seems like a fair explanation considering no one else is explaining what happened. |

Thanks NYN. Simple explanation is Canucks got complacent with easier opponents.
After the all star break they should be back to playing focused and harder.
Still amazing getting points in these lower effort games. One more blah opponent to get up for and then rest and reset. |

Thanks York, I have come to the conclusion that I watch a completely different game and team than the game time commenters in here. I swear that when a goal is scored against that no one here looks at the team play, they see a goal against and it’s that was DeSmith fault, that was Myers fault, that was Pettersson fault, talk about drama queens in here.
Great resilience in coming back and getting the tie. |

You can't seriously be that naive. Are you really questioning the NHL letting someone with controversy surrounding them continuing to play and receive a paycheck?
History has proven time and again that the NHL does not care about this kind of stuff and likes to protect the players first. Obviously we have no idea if what Perry did was really bad or not, but if it was, I would not expect the NHL or the Oilers to care. |

For all his versatility, having the Swiss Army Knife Pius Suter signed for only $1.6M plus another year is great “money puck” cap management by Allvin & the #Canucks. Great return on value. |

Not a great game by 95% of the team, Pettersson was awful in OT, they were lucky to get a point out of that. On a positive note, Quinn Hughes, kids an amazing player.
“With two assists tonight, Captain Quinn becomes the 8th fastest defenceman in NHL history to 300 NHL points (331 games).”

There will be two trades and maybe even 3 coming. The big one will be Feb 20 when LTIR kicks in two days earlier. |

Well sqxftpee says Pettersson want 18 million now so I guess he’s gone for 6 1st rounders, and Demko wants to play for a contender, so he’s gone too, Hughes heart is in New Jersey so he’s gone. Lots and lots of trades coming. |

The first period the Canucks had the Blues bent over for the majority of the time but couldn't get one past Hofer, then the Blues were scoring on limited attempts, that's probably why Desmith was getting blamed. |

The Canucks make a living off of having better goaltending most nights. When the shoe is on the other foot you tip your cap and move on, |
