Would have been nice if it had worked out. Happens though.
- manvanfan

Did you watch the Sens vs Wings OT? Red Wings never touched the puck, not once.

D call up & next trade is a F for 4th line.
- Nighthawk

I'd say getting a top 6 forward so Suter isn't a top 6 winger might not be a bad idea. I don't know if I would deplete everything in one go.

Suter also helps Miller line D role so maybe stays maybe back to 4C.

I wonder who they’re gonna play him with 5-5…. I would assume Pettersson. And yes, now how does the second unit PP look.
- Pacificgem

I'd think they'd play him with Petey and Mikheyev.
Solid defensively and can also score.
I have no idea if Lindholm has wheels or not tho.

Elias Lindholm, reportedly acquired by VAN, is a two-way scoring centre. He's an off-puck player, specializing in getting open for high-danger looks rather than spending a lot of time with possession himself. Needs to play with strong passers and puck-movers to excel. #Canucks

Normally it's Karlsson and they haven't been calling up an 8th D.
- manvanfan

Yet here they are, on a lengthy break with 8 defensemen on the roster, one who was recalled a short time ago.

Plugging Pods into the top 6 and replacing Aman with Suter as 4C could be an option.
If Podkolzin could play that strong forecheck role that PDG did at the start of the year.

Also could consider using Lindholm as a 3C

Vancouver Flames! Tanev next?
Great trade for both teams, you guys will love Lindy. He’s finally out of Cowtown and poised to breakout big time. He hasn’t been happy playing in Calgary, I truely believe he will turn his season around playing with Petey. It too bad him and Zadorov hate each other, hopefully they can work it out for the good of the Quest for Lord Stanley.

Hopefully more moves in Calgary.

He's somewhere between the best 104

Granted those are just speed bursts but Canucks have a slow team.

I’m now curious on resigning him & price.
- Nighthawk

He should be motivated to have a good playoffs since it could drastically change what he gets as a free agent

Do they really? It sounds like Zadorov isn't meshing super well with the Canucks so far

Great deal for a quality Top 6 C.
Jurmo was no going to be resigned, 31st or so OA pick, Kuz (that should have been traded last off season), and Hunter B ( who I value the most out of it all). Like Arizona Fats said, lots if fluff in this.

More needed imo.
Those guys are not the leaders or drivers of the team.

Crosby >>> more experience and leadership than those guys combined.

Cmon now.

- dbot

I’m really not sure why any of you think he wants to leave, I for one sincerely doubt it.

So if JTM is 1C and Lindholm 2C are we still paying Petey 12 mil plus as a C?

Yes I know I like to stir sh1t.

Do you think Pastrnak is overpaid?
