People get all worked up over 1 loss šŸ˜†, well that must be what they are blah blah blah šŸ˜†
- Bettmanhatesus

More worked up over how this loss went down & to who & to how good the Bā€™s are. Just another test. Didnā€™t pass this one but passed many more than weā€™ve not. šŸ‘

We never got overwhelmed considering how off we were, they capitalized on some lazy coverage Demko couldnā€™t make a save on them. The core had a rough night not just petey but we will focus on him because he wants a pile of money we think but does he?

Iā€™ll put the 1st goal on Demko on the turnover & it snowballed no big deal. The core was totally off. Idk what Petey wants just like everyone else. Said it many times I donā€™t think any player is really worth what the elite get paid just my 2 bits. Results get paid & few have earned that & nowhere near the amount of players topping the list. Just cuz players can max out at 15% of the cap doesnā€™t mean itā€™s a bargain lever for more than a very select club. McD MacK AM & soon to be Draisaitl.

Flames pissed the Bruins off. Iā€™m sure there were words spoken.

Calgary winning 2-1, Kuzmenko having a great game. Howā€™s Lindy doing?

- K-man25

Kuzys give away on the PP for a shorty goal was a thing of beauty. Miss that one ?

Iā€™m not advocating your message but nobody is untouchable if PA thinks he has to do what he believes is best. Petey is owed nothing but a raise but he isnā€™t elite as in top 5. In PA I trust.

I pretty much agree with most all here, now having said that the contract issue is between Allvin and ultimately Pettersson, so to use hyperbole to constantly female dog about one player over what he will sign for is a bit much.

One thing here is very clear, Booner female doges about Miller, Rueby female doges about Hughes, sqxf?? female doges about Pettersson to an ridiculous extreme, then thereā€™s Myers who everyone loves to female dog about. There will always be players someone doesnā€™t like or want on the team, but the hyperbole here is comical.

It was a bad game, a game I didnā€™t like, no one played well, it is the response that will matter. I hope they donā€™t win the PC, I want them to face adversity like this game, thatā€™s what will build a tough winning culture, (frank) the PC.

Oh my, the hate is real.
Well at least Kuzmenko had the game winner tonight.
Thanks Alvin!

Ultimately, you'd like to win the PC, even if it's meaningless solely because it lets you have home ice through the Finals. I know it doesn't matter that much once you get to the Finals but it does help if it goes to Game 7 (although we all know how THAT goes for Vancouver if it gets there)

Yeah there is the home ice. Hopefully the Bruins win 1st overall and get bounced in the 1st round and Canucks get home ice to push through.

Although to think the SC this year is realistic is still a bit far fetched for me. Get to the playoffs and win the 1st round is a major step forward, (my opinion). Conference finals is huge if they can reach that level.

In reality, I've pointed out Miller's poor play in 3 games this season. The rest of the discussion around Miller from me has been responding to the constant pitting Petey vs Miller routine from Nighthawk. That's where most of his twisting and turning on the Petey subject has been and its reasonable to counter it. Miller hasn't really given us that much to complain about but if we were to put a microscope on him like NH does to Petey, the nitpicking would be equally bad... and none of us would be so obsessed about it either.

The contract fretting... holy poop enough already. We're mostly just patiently waiting to see but this panicking for lack of a better word, is getting old.

Honestly, I wouldn't be sad if Petey left because of contract terms, we've seen how paying 1 or 2 or more players the vast majority of money leaving little to none for the rest of the team has worked out for say... Toronto? Edmonton? Not to mention even if they did have to deal Petey the return would more than make up for the loss in the long term. He deserves to get paid, but it may just not be here that he gets that 13+ million dollar contract (if that is indeed what he's looking for and that could always be the hysterical and irrelevant "Good Ol' Boys Sports Page Alumni" Vancouver media pap.

Demko is also tied for league high shutouts so his goals per game are not that bad. Only 2 in the last game.. then 4/3/0... a mixed bag and 2.25 ga average in the 4 before tonight. PK has improved lately... or at least since Soucy returned. Not sure if it slipped again since his new injury. He is a beast on the PK. Two shorties in one game looks bad but aside from that, this flood hasnt happened.

Most of this stuff is just a case of adjustments. Like I mentioned before, this team has suffered less of what people are worried about than the rest of the league for the most part. People still are overreacting though.

RT talked all narrative breakers after the Canes game. Talking about how well the Canuck's played in what he felt was a playoff type game against on of the leagues hottest and best. Regardless, this team is only as good as it's last loss which is like every 8 games or so... sad.

Well Tocchet has had them bouncing back after laying an egg so hopefully we see a different club vs DET.
