I still think resigning him is the best option.

I highly doubt you’ll get the value back in a trade worth moving him.

Trim the fat off the edges of the roster, get some coaches in here who know what the frank they are doing, and make some freaking trades to support your existing core.

Enough is enough.

Signing him if these are the parameters of the deal?

Guess we use different numbers, but NST had them down 2.57 to 2.9 at the end and up 2.04 to 1.86 after 2. High Danger was 12-12 for the night.

Their goalie played well. Down 1 after 2 was nothing crazy today.

Felt close to an even game with one team clearly better at controlling the center of the ice defensively the second half of the game, when it mattered most.

@TheInstigator76
, who reported Friday the Sabres are shopping him. While a team source told me they're not "actively" trying to move him, multiple teams say BUF is listening. Mittelstadt prefers to stay, I'm told, but he is in play.

Mittelstadt can become an RFA this July. He has arb rights and will command a big ticket. I suspect the Sabres are shopping others on the team, but this could evolve into a big talent-for-talent swap if a trade comes to fruition.

They also reported Karmanos has been at the last 2 Bruins games, and Boston supposedly has interest in Girgensons and Okposo.

Maybe Adams can get Bjork and a 2nd for both of them.

St.Louis fired their coach and their PP went from dead last to top 10.

Sabres go 0-3 on the PP today and it costed them a point if not two.

It's a tough one. Think you need to know the terms before taking a firm stance on this one. He could absolutely price himself out.

The typical TDL trade package is a loser, no question there. I think KA is feeling too much pressure to do that.

If 5 years at $6M per is something he'd accept, do you sign him to that deal?

Do you like those comps? I'm not sure I do. Feels like it's being dragged down by a few I don't like.

That's an uncomfortable number that you'd probably have to take, any more an it gets really uncomfortable.

I'll wait for the Evolving Hockey prediction, as theirs is usually the best, but it feels like the minimum AAV would be $6.5M per, and more likely, it would start with a 7.

What a real team looks like, and what former Sabres look like on a real (frank)ing team.

>>> Talk about a strong game from the Panthers against Colorado.

At 5v5, per @NatStatTrick
- 83 shot attempts
- 39 scoring chances, 18 HD
- 4.24 expected goals for
- 65.5% of the xG share

>>> With Verhaeghe-Barkov-Reinhart on the ice, Florida had a 24-10 edge in shots attempts, 13-3 in scoring chances, and almost 87% of the expected goals share.

Extra impressive considering how much they matched up to MacKinnon’s line.

That’s a crazy ask even if Hanifin came with an extension

If it’s a 4 year deal I do it. If he wants 7 or 8 years at that number then I would not.

Every opposing GM knows there's blood in the water with the Sabres and they have a GM with little experience.

This is the kind of thing where another team gets Hanifin for a 2025 top 10 protected 1st and a B or C prospect, and Adams has a press conference where he tells everyone that Calgary asked for much more then they traded him for.

Friedman on Saturday headlines during the Leafs 2nd INT said the smoke around Buffalo is real.

They are looking to make immediate upgrades to the roster to help now.

They have not given up on the season, but it seems too little too late to right the ship.

Adams needed to show this urgency this past offseason

Including 2 TB deals should be against the rules, and I'd think the TB name should be Cirelli.

If they see him as their 3C, I think they have to explore their options.

What if they see him as their top 2 C/W?

Interchanging on the 2nd or 1st line at Center or Wing?

I'd almost bet he was really there for the Beanpot and popped in on the Bruins.

Even if they moved Girgs there at the TDL, they are getting a 4th, not someone off their roster.

At the same time, nobody of substance really moved this past offseason.

Adams was in on Chychrun last year.

I firmly believe there has been an intent to add to the roster this entire time, but the right situation hasn’t presented itself.

And if Hanifin isn’t a Sabre because it take Dylan Cozens, I can see why Adams has done (frank) all

I wonder if Poitras being out for the season has altered the Bruins plans at all?
