It's a situation where we have a ton of conversations but they're mostly about jalapeño sales.

Might have to take out the new Nacho stand unfortunately. Cut into profits maybe they will concentrate on the Team more.

What other teams in the NHL have held onto their underperforming coach as long as we have? The Pens? The Yotes? Flames and Caps have had a decent turn around.

They're boring and their bad and their coach says the same thing every single game, and in general that prayer that they're going to work harder and up their intensity and crash the net is simply unanswered.

Yet Kevyn will continue driving the patience mobile, pretend he wants the team to get better and then look at their acquisitions of Hinostoza, Jost, EJohnson, Greenway, Robinson, Clifton and Comrie and say oh (frank) what did I do wrong?

(frank) you Kevyn. And (frank) you too Terry.

Good post.

ATW today is discussing how Adams has no leverage and the league will low ball him on all trades...which was obvious 2 years ago. Rivet called the team boring and lifeless.

It's a rebuild that the organization doesn't want to acknowledge, I don't even know who to hire to turn this thing around.

Maybe instead of fixing the arena Terry will move the arena out to Orchard park next to the stadium, add a casino and hotel and push to host Superbowl/NHL events.

What do you people think Mitts is gonna get. He was part of a Trade for Swayman or Ullmark. He wouldn't be the main piece.
- Buff36

Didn't see the original trade proposal. Thought the D was the main piece, my bad.
Doesn't change my critique though...6'3" softy at D who isn't great at the D either.

Also, I'd rather the Mgmt fixes the team upfront to restrict HD chances and guys left uncontested in front of our own net. Focus on Dmen who can vigorously defend and high-energy guys with a 200 foot game.

I agree, but if I am trading Mitts for a goalie and have the chance to get a Decent Dman I am going to try. And don't know where people get soft from. He wasn't to shy when I have seen him play.

Not that Petey and Craig said anything revolutionary here, but they highlighted and bolded how dons message has been the same, same, same the whole (frank)ing season.
Joke.

Petey doubling down on "shopping" is fascinating.

I love that we're so bad that we're using one of our best players just to change the team.

Well I don't get it, they have other assets they can move. Maybe evaluations should have been done better and a extension should have been used somewhere else. 🤔

sometimes i think about players with poopty contracts but then i think about how every cap strapped teams always manage to shed those contracts with a little bit of effort.

I would do a Coleman Weegar trade, probably have to send maybe Samuelsson back for some Cap, but they would definitely help IMO.

Results will not show until a change behind the bench. Sabres have played the same way the entire season (and preseason), and we can count on two hands the amount of games they put a real honest effort into.

Get two more guys who bleed honest effort, a kadri, coleman, weeger, that pushes the needle. I don't think it's enough on it's own.

You think this a coaching change and the addition of those players can compensate for Adams as the GM? Do you think Adams knows how to evaluate a good coach?

This season should throw the axiom of talent trumps all, straight in the garbage can.
A winning team is far more than merely a collection of talent...it takes a combination of talent, heart, toughness, intelligence, physicality, leadership, commitment & willingness to play a role, etc.

So, in the midst of the 2 year evaluation period it is revealed that quite a lot of that list is currently missing from the roster and the pipeline. It is so blatantly obvious to everyone now except to the FO.

The Sabres represent a house for sale in which the key structural elements all need to be changed/improved/upgraded...not a new coat of paint or other cosmetic changes.

The right coaching change can be all the change in the world.

I don't need to list the countless examples from the past 2 seasons alone.

A different mind set, a different voice, a different technique could potentially hit the right buttons to play the right way almost every night.

Flyers did it.
Canucks did it.
Blues did it.
Oilers did it.
The Ghostbusters did it.
