not everyone's favorite example but for most of his tenure, he's done well as a defensive specialist. I don't want to dwell on the specific player as much as the point im trying to make.

A defensive specialist is not enough for what a team needs.

The player needs to provide more then that, like consistent physicality.

It's been years since he has done that.

Real goalies don't move. The carousel is reserved for the Campbell's, Korpisalo's, Dell's, Kuemper's, Husso's et al.

Anything that could have gone wrong this season has gone wrong.

- Adams sitting on his hands this offseason when it was time to make win now moves

- Donnie galaxy braining the teams even strength game and overcorrecting hard due to shoddy goaltending.

- Poor injury luck

- Let Peca walk out of the building and the PP being as bad as it is has probably costed us 4-6 points in the standings.

Wrap it all up and it’s probably the most frustrating season of the entire drought because they do have the caliber of roster to be playing in a first round playoff series if it weren’t for being completely mismanaged top to bottom.

There's a big gap between paying big money vs no money. If you pay nothing, you're likely going to get what you paid for....and that's what the Sabres have gotten for years. KA's missteps in goal have cost them big.
