Vantel brought up some good points, Mini, like yourself, is a bit of a cupcake.

I didn't actually read any of the discussion, just pointing out a pattern in this comment section that is not unique to any 1 person, but please carry on being a twat about it

I remember you giving credit when credit due a few times. I agree that praises are not deserved atm for Petey...

Hughes, well, he does just fine even when he doesnt dazzle. His game type will have it's mistakes and occasional poor coverage. Only a couple of D in the league are in his class though. All forgiven when your team wins this much and he's carrying the pressure of being captain.

- boonerbuck

I agree, although I would like to see Hughes tone down the high-risk moves later in games.

Well until he hits 100 points two years in a row he still isn't. He needs 30 points in 28 games and with the playoff race it is going to get tighter to score.

Secondly there is always a first time for everything.

It has nothing to do with his play, but has everything to do with what he is asking for.

- VANTEL

True, there is a chance he just misses it, just thought it was interesting.

He's currently just barely behind the pace he was on at this time last year.

"Drop it and move on" or "I'm done reading your crap" is generally code for "I'm losing this argument and I don't know how else to respond"

"it's not even debatable" because personal opinion is not up for debate.

He really doesn't like his points of view challenged.

Him and North Nuck are twins.

I knew when I posted wait for the backlash comment I knew exactly who would respond. I will wait for Neem to pipe in and I nailed it.

It's pretty predictable because there's only like 12 people who comment on these threads regularly

You just answered your own statement . Barely behind 102. That would mean maybe less than 100.

I just did the math, if he paced how he did last year from March onwards, he's actually on pace for 2 fewer points, so he would be bang on 100

Thats a reasonable desire and with him being this young, intelligent and always striving to improve parts of his game, I think it will come together. His best hockey is still ahead of him. Not to mention the D coaches this team is fortunate to have influencing and teaching him.

Here is an eye opener for you and Mini. You say some of us are predictable, well pot meet kettle.

Do you two not think you are not predictable??????

Don't lump yourself in with those guys. You can actually talk hockey, you aren't a professional troll like they are.

I redid your math and he is on pace for 99.997 so he is not.

If they acquire some top 6 offense, the pace will pick up for him.

One thing I noticed about Petey is he has a good or incredible month, and then an average month. Not a terrible cycle at all but more consistency is needed.

I have been fairly non-critical, this season, as I am actually enjoying this run of success, but I did complement both him and Hughes a few times this season, although not so much over the past 20 games or so, as the best players over that timeframe have been the entire 3rd line, along with Hronek and Juulsen.

The level of disrespect EP40 gets from you is so laughable, I wonder if you even watch hockey. He doesn't play a certain way, so you don't like it, I get that, but to outright just say he hasn't been their best forward over the past twenty games is mind-boggling.

Since January 1st 2024, nineteen games in total, Pettersson has 26 points and he's been +8, while taking important face-offs, killing penalties, working the PP, all the while averaging almost 20 minutes in ice-time. Those other guys have half the points and about five minutes less in ice-time.

It takes a team to win, I get it, you need everyone to contribute. Your hockey takes are just comical.

Most teams lock up their top talent a year in advance is the only reason it's the first time.

He definitely has hot stretches. The part that makes him great is that even when he is not at his best he finds a way to put up points. In the last 2 seasons he only has 2 months where he was under a point-a-game pace, and both times it was only by a single point
