Or, he's Triumph the Insult Comic Dog for goalies.

I finely mince superhot peppers into ice cream for a fire and ice effect.

Yummy!

I’ve all but eliminated sugary treats from my diet. Ice cream and wine gums are my Achilles heel.
Getting older, so I needed to smarten up. Had some iffy blood work results 6 months ago including diabetes (genetic). Doctor was ready to start prescribing all kinds of meds, but I talked her into giving me 3 months to turn things around. After 3 months, much improved, and 6 month results just a few weeks ago were even better, and back to pre-diabetic…and no meds.
I call it the common sense diet, lol.

I did a similar thing. My blood test numbers were getting into sketchy territory. Started adhering to a decent eating pattern. Thankfully my exercise level is already pretty high, and I'm okay to crank it higher. 3 months later the numbers were back into a good range.

There is only one acceptable use of vanilla ice cream:

Accompanying blueberry pie.

- Atomic Wedgie

Blueberry pie is a top pie, no question. I still favour pumpkin above all, but I will eat the ass out of a blueberry pie too.

FYI: Triumph the Comic Dog is a touchy subject here in Toronto.

He’s a rip-off of a Canadian comic puppet - Ed the Sock.

Conan was negotiating to have him on the show, then decided to just steal the act instead.

I don't think Matthews gets the respect he deserves outside of Canada. Which is odd, since he's a USA boy.

If McDavid is McJesus, then Matthews is Zeus throwing thunderbolts at goalies.

- GalacticStone

Somehow his goal-scoring exploits are expected at this point. Maybe also his goals are not super flashy dekes. He just takes the puck and shoots it into the net. Will be interesting if he hits 70, makes for an interesting Hart conversation.

There’s a gelato place in my neighborhood that has pumpkin pie gelato every fall.

Just before Thanksgiving, they take orders - they put the gelato in a pie shell.

It’s a franking showstopper.

Thanks Wedgies.
I can vouch for the, “It’s never too early to do something…anything”, saying.

My wife uses this ap called, Yucca, to scan UPC labels for health, additives, and nutrition. It’s kinda cool. I’d recommend it. You’ll be scanning everything in your fridge and cupboard for a few days, lol. Some eye openers lurking in your pantry and fridge.

I know I say this ad nauseum, but 90% of Matthews’ goals look like something I could do. Easily.

He receives a pass in a mid-danger area and shoots it on net. No big deal. The shots don’t even seem overly hard - it’s not like he is overpowering the goalies like Brett Hull used to do.

Except it goes in.

Excellent, Zezzie.
I walk 50+ K a week just with my doggy, plus a bunch of other exercise, like rowing machine, treadmill, Nordic Track etc. It all goes hand in hand.

Believe it or not, my dad has the exact same story as you.

He always had a sweet tooth ( but has always been in fantastic shape).

Doc told him he needed to cut out sugar.

He hasn’t had a dessert in 30 years.

He was always quietly furious because his best friend went diabetic due to poor diet. The friend refused to address it - just decided to use medication instead, and his health inevitably declined and he died.

My dad never forgave him.

Fun exercise: show parents of young kids how much sugar is in ketchup.

They have no idea.

Fun question of the day, courtesy of Mrs. Wedgie:

How many times this year have you worn your winter boots?

For me, certainly less than five times.

Gotta go walk the dog - I have been holed up in my bedroom for two days with COVID, and I am losing my franking mind.

That, and the dog is all franking over me to go.

See you at puck drop!

French's makes a no sugar added ketchup which is harder to find and they charge big time for it. The other guys do as well but I will not promote or buy their products since they fired thousands of Canadians in Leemington and move operations to the US.

Try the ap, Wedge. You’ll get a kick out of it.

We’re even making our own dog treats now, after a serious scare with him that cost us way too much to admit. Wife isn’t taking any chances, lol.

Bold statement by Wodster.

I like both Willy and Mitch, like 99% of Leaf fans.
