I really believe in him, leafs will need his forecheck and grind hockey in playoffs.
I understand the bit of frustration but I want to see him playing playoff hockey for the Leafs.
You have a player like Tatar who always shows up great in regular season but is completely useless every time playoffs start...its a different game and I think a fresh slate for the post season will be really good for him. - Santo_44
Every (frank)ing year, the man becomes a ghost in the playoffs. In 4 different teams too.

Glad Liljregren has gained his fan value back from Leaf fans. His actual value has always remained the same.
If he is traded this TDL his minimum value is Sandins from last year. a late 1st and rental Gustafson(3rd round pick) He is a RHD so maybe even a bit more. - Santo_44
Trading in general, Tre should approach with caution.
Maybe the pieces going out hold more value than what comes back.
Over the long haul anyways |

Chris Johnston said this morning he does not believe Leafs are on Hanifins no trade list. Thinks Leafs are the only team in Canada that would be willing to trade for him.
Also says the "does not want to play in Canada" took a story of its own and isn't really the case. Almost re signed in CGY several times this season. |

I'd put him on PP1.
But regardless he is not paid to be a beast, the beasts should be AM, Willy and Marner.
Just need him to be really good.
I remember thinking Hyman was a beast his last few seasons in playoffs, did not show on the score sheet but he generated a lot with his play. - Santo_44
Who do you take off, JT? Johnny was face-offs, is better in puck battles on the boards and has much better hands around the net. If you want to make some changes to even out the two units, maybe but I kind of like having a top PP unit that is really good.
Also, he hasn’t been really good or even good (although he’s been better the last few games). |

I would hope Tre has spent lots of time with trade talks.
At this point he likely knows every possible trade he can make and what it would take. |

I'd like the option of not being stuck with the PP unit they have.
Doesn't need to be decided today but having the option to take in and out JT and Bert 100% should be an option depending on the play. |

He just does not have it.
When you sign him you know he is just helping you get to the dance, because he is not doing anything in playoffs |

Jarnny is great value - Fakepartofme
Silly article. I’ve always liked Jarnkrok but would trade him as part of a package that brings in the right D man in a non-rental situation. The article just lists random teams that might want h8m. |

Sure. Keefe was fooling around with lines the other day, putting JT on the wing and playing Domi in the top six. Try some stuff, that’s cool |

Trouble is, you'd be trading for only a few months of him anyway, even if he did want to re-sign.
The guy will command 8+M on the open market, and I don't see a world were we can afford that, barring an all rookie line...
Hmmm |

The Leafs can afford him.
And Tre probably has a decent idea if he could sign Hanifin. If they do trade for him I trust he is not a rental. |

This would be awful
Once playoff hockey comes around Mantha is going to crawl into a a hole. We at least know Bertuzzi is going to play hard. - Santo_44

He is not vaccinated though so you will never like him |

Nothing like extrapolating off his only playoff experience.
He doesn't play hard now. He plays lazy and unfocused. |

I would even throw Lily in there if Tanev could come back to play on the right side. |

I'll never get the Kampf 2.4. I like him as the 4th line guy at 1.5M but 2.4M seemed like a loss from day 1. Always going to be an awkward fit at that number.
BobbyMac's sniping but he's not nearly as well rounded/dependable as Jarnkrok.
Could play them both with JT if they keep the JT-Domi switch. JT always seemed at his best playing with, and elevating, meh wingers on the Island. - The Law
I'd have been going hard after Pius Suter before resigning Kampf. If Suter weren't interested, I'd circle back to Kampf. If the open market wanted to pay him that much, it would have been their mistake, not mine. Most metrics noted that Suter is better at being Kampf than Kampf is, and he has more offensive upside and tools.

Yeah, Toronto is seen as a "premium" matchup because of the rivalry so they boost the price of the tickets.
We're selling out the building every game anyway so I guess they can afford to do that despite the team rebuilding.
