We are most definitely debating the slimmest of margins with the Willy v Marner debate and both are elite there is no debating that (well I guess some fan bases from other teams may but that's to be expected).

His only 3 goals ever on the pk were this year.
Marner has 1 goal this year and 9 overall in much more pk time....granted.
Career marner is .339 gpg and 1.10 ppg
Career willie is .359gpg and 0.87pgg
So i i wouldnt say "much more" offensive threat.
Willie is having a brake contract year no doubt...but we dont know if this a one off or not yet.
Marner has been more consistent over years but he has a pass first mentality while wilster has a shoot first mentality.
Marner was overpaid his 2nd contract, willie is overpaid on the this one.
Im hoping he takes no more than 12m on his next contract....which he will still he overpaid imo. - Fakepartofme
I hope we are talking about William Nylander the Stanley Cup Champion whose contract is a good to great deal in a few years (kinda' like how we have been on his current deal for a couple years now).
i also share the hope that Mitchell Marner the Stanley Cup Champion agrees to take 12M or less to remain a Leaf and help them follow Stanley Cup Champion and new Captain and team leader Auston Matthews to another Stanley Cup win, and another, and another and another........hey wait who the hell let the Zezzmeister onto my computer to finish this post off?
Bahia Principe Akumal (in the Mayan Riviera). About 10 years ago my wife and I started routinely working out and did it for about 3 years and I won't lie - I looked pretty decent for a formerly naturally skinny guy (although I think she looked vastly superior!) - but then I got hurt and then found excuses and more excuses to not start up again . . .
This is our first vacation down south since we were married in Cuba in 2004, so we're pretty amped. - Monkeypunk
Nice - I think we looked at that one when we were searching. We ended up with the Iberostar. I just need good pool, good tacos, good beer, good bed.
The pandemic chopped all my teams and most of them never returned. We lost permits for soccer pitches and rinks plus we got old, busy and cared less. So no sports = no fitness for me for like 2 years. The wife got me a Peleton for xmas ....it's (frank)ing awesome. I'm on it every day ...it's gold if you're a competitive type.
Enjoy Mexico ....20 years! And make it an annual thing b/c travelling somewhere where you have to take the shirt off really helps with the motivation to work out.

I did not know the goals per game was that close eh that’s crazy! Well done Marner.
As for structure - that’s why (and his anticipation skills off the chart) he is good defensively on the PK. He can play that game. But when the play rolls as it does 5v5 Marner gets lost and when he gets he puck in critical areas he turns it over a ton.
I guarantee nobody discourages Willy from shooting - not even 34. Willy can shoot and score and you want him to do that. I don’t at all see him as selfish with his shots to be honest.
I did see the primary assists between Willy and mitch is as close as the goals per game. It’s weird, I see the play as Willy is a much better goal scorers and Marner a better passer - and yet stats tell us they are very very close in both areas. Crazy.
Either way both real good players. I still think Marner just edges Willy out in that. Shame that Marner will be looking for a lot more money than Willy next contract though. Their pay should be separated by 500K - 700K per year in my opinion. - Big23Questions
Willy’s gonna have one year over 80pts, this season (his contract year go figure
)
They aren’t the same player at all. Willy is a 0 on the season, and Marner is +19. Willy’s defence will never be elite, I just hope one day it’s good enough that his line can outscore their opponent. The 2nd line rarely faces top shut down pairing, or the other teams 1C, so his +/- should in theory be much better than it is. It’s fun when he scores, but we have to treat getting scored on with the same level of importance. I don’t think Leafs fans understand that

My measuring stick includes everything. Day 1 to today. I just think when you step back and consider the highs, the lows, the consistencies, the minutes played, and everything in between ....Marner has been the better player. And, from what I've seen, I believe he has another gear and will be the better player going forward.
They're both elite so we're debating the margins.
I actually thought Marner was the Leafs best player in the Tampa series last year. He was matched up defensively against the best and his 5v5 numbers were great. - The Law
My first thought was that Nylander is historically hurt by his poor performance in his hold out season and also by playing 22 games as a rookie - but those numbers, when excluded, don't really affect his overall numbers that much.
If you do it for Nylander, you sort of have to for Mitch - so I simply excluded his Rookie season (which was still pretty decent - 19 goals, 61 points in 77 games).
You end up with a bit of a closer contract - 0.39g - 0.35 in favour of Nylander, who is more of a shooter and 1.16 to 0.93 in points for Mitch. Over those years Nylander's 38 game winning goals to Mitch's 25 may have some sway in how people perceive them - but overall in their whole career it's 39-30, which is even closer - and Matthews has 58.
I agree with you, though - Mitch is a more rounded player and if he can crack the code of playing through playoff manhandling, he could be the key to a more successful playoff run.
He ran that for a few shifts either last game or the laugher. He also played JT on the wing a few times. Domi playing better really opens up some options
Intermittent fast from 6pm to 10am the next day. Eat nothing. Water is fine. (I even drink beer and it still works for me but better to go full fast obviously)
Then, start doing mountain climbers in 3 variations but continual without stopping.
20 x legs outside of arms wide, alternate left then right for a count of 20, in stride without stopping switch to
20 x legs straight up and back, like running with your hands on the ground, then switch in stride without stopping to
20 x legs to opposite elbow, left knee to right elbow, right knee to left elbow.
You're getting obliques, top and middle abs and lower/man line area.
Put on your favorite pump up song and try to rinse and repeat for the whole song. A normal length song will get you close to 400 total.
You do this for two weeks you will lose copious amounts of weight at the same time toning the whole upper body and you will see abs. Promise. If you really want to shred, do it twice a day: morning and night
Got get it fellas. Start now and you will all be ripped by summer, or not air lifted off a beach in two weeks. - underhill14
I'm tired and stressed out just reading this! My wife does HIIT and all of this stuff everyday. Costs a fortune but worth it to keep her busy (and fit).
I'm a ride the bike and push a bit of weight guy ...I know, it won't get me ripped but it gets me away from Dad bod and back to semi-athletic bod. With my handsome face a ripped bod would only create problems - it'd get my wife asking too many questions. I don't need that poop man!
Don't know if his full 3.25M makes sense to add..even though it is a good contract. - Santo_44
SJ already using 2 retention spots for this year and next. Do they want to waste next year on Ferraro when they could be looking to move Vlasic, Hertl or couture out?
Considering how Marner always looks to pass to the best goal scorer on the planet, he’s still scoring at a very close pace to Nylander, and maintaining a higher shooting%. Willy has 16 more goals than mitch over their careers.
Willy loves shooting the puck. He’ll rip it before passing to a wide open Matthews lol. I don’t fault him for shooting all the time tho.
When it comes to playing defence, and structured hockey.. well,, Willy isn’t half the player Mitch is, unfortunately. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Wouldn’t need D if Marner would stop turning it over with his dipsy doodle passing.
I remember thinking it might be because he was still not 100% healthy so Keefe was limiting his ice time. (I know Marner was sick too but he's younger, heals faster was my logic at the time)
Now I'm thinking that maybe it's just because he's slow and sucks?? (not the biggest JT fan )

Honestly, if they become cup champs with the leafs this or next year, then their cap hit or production would never be thought of again by me. Their contracts could become the worse in the league and I wouldn't care. It would be fine by me. The cup high would last at least 5 years.

And how would it have been the above?
Not trading one player could have created a need to trade another.
Glad kadri was moved out.
Didnt like the Marchment or mccann move...but ah well.
