Another gem from Siegel:
The Leafs need Bertuzzi to score too. They need him to lead the second wave of scoring behind the big four forwards. He’s paid to do so. The question is whether that’s still in him. Bertuzzi has scored 15 goals in his last 102 regular season games. - Atomic Wedgie
Yeah but he was okay in those 7 playoff games with the Bruins (where they lost the series)...
I (frank)ing hate Bertuzzi |

Lemieux scored 85
Gretzky scored 87 and 92.
Not sure how they "adjust" for era, but the above still has to be ahead of AM.
AM's current season could easily be the best in the past 30 years - Fakepartofme
I'm not sure of the actual formula, but I'm assuming it's looking at total goals scored by the league or something like that, and figuring out how far off the median or mean it is.
Simple grade 11 math - which I'm no longer capable of doing. |

If you want to truly hate Bertuzzi, go watch a game live, and just follow him when he's on the ice.
His positioning is baffling. He's never where he should be.
I'm guessing Marner absolutely franking hates him, because I've seen them bump into each other at least a dozen times - always on the right side of the ice. |

It has to be more than that.
In 81-82 Gretz scored 28 more goals than the next player.
Hull had 35 more goals
Matthews only has 10 more than the next player. Nowhere near the above |

Woll demoted to AHL.
Just kidding
Its a conditioning stint. - Fakepartofme
Two week stint leads right up to the deadline. Gotta think everything comes to bare on March 8th in terms of setting up the Cap. Jarnkrok, Woll will be back, Rielly and Gio will be back ...maybe even Timmins. Rifai and Lajoie back down.
That's 14 fwds, 8 def, and 3 goalies. 2-3 guys must be moved out ...and more if they plan to add. |

I mean a lot of people were sucking Bertuzzi off in this blog before he was signed as "THE guy" the leafs needed. So it's kinda funny seeing a lot of the same people turn on him before ever playing a playoff game for the leafs.

Nothing against 87 and 92 but have you seen the goalies and the equipment that they wore back then? |

Have you seen the tree stumps they used as sticks back then compared to the carbon fibre machine guns they use now.
I feel like the two cancel each other out. Imo. |

I don’t think it does imo. Darren Pang was a goalie at one point, all 5’ 5” and 160 pounds of him. |

And losing the series makes a good individual run bad? How bad have all the Leafs players been the past 7 years then Zezel? |

If they are carbon fibre machine guns why can't all players just take a snapshot from the blue line on a rush and it go in like the good old days? |

If people haven't gotten over that by now then they have some serious issues.
The not scoring part right now is an understanding part to be frustrated about. |
