Yup ....he and Jarnkrok have some experience together too.

SJ has only one retention slot for this and next year...does make me wonder if they want to save it for Couture this offseason with the trade rumours.

Just saw this on Twatter : Hanifin and Tanev to Tampa for 63 draft picks and a storage unit full of spare zamboni parts.

I appoint Zezzie to be in charge of my HB affairs if anything ever happens to me. I'll give him the keys to all of my alt accounts and he can bother everyone on my behalf.

Can I get a witness for this? I want to make sure it's legal.

Just the flu, or the 'VID?

I flunked another test yesterday - still holed up in the basement. I feel fine - I'm going to take another test tonight, and hopefully celebrate the negative with a few wobbly pops and a Leafs win.

I'm so franking bored.

I'd be honoured. I am kind of impressed you haven't already been shot by a crocodile on meth.

Some kind of rhinovirus or cold virus. I took a Covid test that came back negative. Then discovered the test was old and expired, so I took another one and it came up negative.

I think this is just good old fashioned case of the yucks. He got over it pretty quick (2-3 days), but he's also decades younger with a sterling immune system.

Bertuzzi shooting over the net is just part of the calibration process. Used to be just soft shots into the pads along the ice.

Should be fully calibrated by mid-March.

Different angles and positions of goalie...one is shrinking to absorb a shot, but I get what youre saying.
But the new vs wood still have a big impact as well.

100 years ago, I read an "autobiography" by Gretzky (I put "autobiography" in quotes because it was obviously ghost-written).

The only thing I remember from it is that he admits that he had zero upper body strength, so he always played with the stiffest stick he could get.

Which made absolutely no sense, but hey - am I really going to argue with him?

I had one of the original Easton silver aluminums - it was rebar. Couldn't bend a franking thing.

Then a couple of years ago, I was coaching my daughter in U18 houseleague. A kid on the team was a beginner - really good athlete, wanted to try hockey. She was using a lot of borrowed equipment - and her dad's Easton aluminum.

I kept on telling her to send her dad to come speak with me, explaining why she needed to drop $70 for a new stick - but she always drove herself to games and practices, so I never ended up speaking with the dad about her need for a stick that she could bend.

I ended up lending her one of my sticks every game and practice.

She was a great kid. I'm still pissed at her dad, and I've never even met him.

Did you catch it flying?

Anybody I've heard about with the vid has just returned home from a flight. Makes sense I guess ...flying is like making out with everyone on the plane.

The Jake McCabe trade was one of Dubas's best trades.

it was a 2025 1st

2026 2nd

throw in prospects

for

McCabe, Lafferty and a couple mid round picks

Do you do something similar with Ferraro 50% retained?

The goalie pads were wider, gloves a bit bigger but the level of protection in pants, arm and chest pads and masks, skates and gloves was so bad back then. Every shot hurt the only ? was how much would it hurt.

- Cush29

Don Cherry used to show a picture of Palmateer with his jersey off - he had the tiniest chest protector, with a target drawn in the middle of it.

I have searched the innerwebs for years - can't find it.

planes have pretty good filtration systems these days.

You maybe get some contact with the rows next to you but thats it.

Hmmm, good question.

I was on a plane on the 10th, started feeling a little sick on the 14th, tested positive on the 17th.

I had assumed I got it from my daughter (she started feeling sick on or around the 12th, but it was after a hockey tournament so we figured she picked up something there).

I'm still going to blame my daughter, because she blames everything on her parents (mostly her mother, but still).

Yeah thats why the retention makes sense.

Need some cap left over for the RHD side.

Don't know if his full 3.25M makes sense to add..even though it is a good contract.

You're right but I think the science still points to it being an incubator. Everybody touches everything ...etiquette is typically left behind. The cleanings of the planes have become pretty superficial too ...especially on the cheap vacation flights.

We're hitting the beach in a couple of weeks ...probably mask up on the flight just to add a little protection ....gotta make sure I can comfortably inhale cervezas.
