He may not be done yet, WTF.

He will never be done until someone takes the mother(frank)er out. 😂

I think if Old Balls trades the #1 pick, that may just happen.

I think Lou was talking about the need for a 3rd goalie recently. Sounds like no good options in Bridge. 3rd goalie is far down the list of issues right now.

Ehhhh I’m on the fence with Barzal. I know he’s the isles “all star” but is he really on the level of the top 10-15 in the league? The only untouchables to me are 8 and 30.
- kindlyrick

Leads the league in takeaways I'd keep him 💯 but that's my opinion. He's been much better this year and I think will be a point per game player going forward

Yeah I get that but I’m not sure how a lot of people missed what was pretty obvious the last three seasons. This lineup has been given more leeway and do overs then any I can remember.
- Cptmjl

So fore lou it may be time if they miss this year

Having Bo has certainly helped Barzal. Lee is still an issue on the other wing. Barzal is not the issue with this team.

I’m not suggesting trading Barzal because I don’t think he’s good. I’m saying if you’re gonna blow it up, he’s up for grabs.

Barzal is young enough and good enough where you’d hold onto him even if we blew it up.

What’s Barzals ceiling to you pts wise and or goal wise per year? Is he a 30 goal scorer? 40 goal? Point per game player? I’m not crapping on Barzal I’m only saying for sake of hockeybuzz discussion, that if the right return came along…

If he can maintain what he’s doing now that’s ok in my book. I also don’t see us getting blown away enough with an offer for him that it would make sense for a team that has a tough time signing fa’s and developing offensive talent. The guy is also only 26 he’ll be in his prime the next few of years.

All true. I personally think Lou trades the first again this year at the deadline

The Patty L trade worked out very well and even getting Thomas in the Brent Sutter trade was good. Miss those days when you could make impact trades.

So when is Day 2 of the draft? Because that's when we can all start watching.

Talk about a player not afraid to shoot or get to the tough areas to score. Bill did very well with those trades and was forced out soon after.

I'll watch the 1st round if the Islanders have a pick, otherwise I skip. I have no idea on these players, and they are not ready to start unless it's the #1 overall. NHL is just not as fun for me with these rosters locked down with the 7- and 8-year deals.

Torrey was GM during those trades and Don was assistant GM.
