Benoit Robertson and Jones have been the worst Leafs tonight
- mr.sir

I think they all had their moments. I would argue that Jones made some saves which I think were largely positional, but he still made them - but he also looked horribly lost on several plays. Robertson wasn't overly effective, but he was moving his feet and was involved in the plays. He had a poor third, I think.

Benoit I didn't really notice doing anything negative.

Oh man I forget where they played but how could you ever forget that name eh haha! Generic Musk oh man.

I know bars we went to: (that can remember)
Ceeps or Ceaps (sp?)
Rideout
Something (?) Tavern - by train tracks

So it would’ve been one of those places

- Big23Questions

Wasn't the Ceeps. I bounced bartended an managed there in the mid to late 90's

Robertson will be replaced by Jarnkrok by playoff time is my guess

Loved the Ceeps, a decade before you worked there though.

That was a pretty impressive win on the 2nd half of a back to back vs Vegas.

Couple uh oh moments but the Leafs dominated the bulk of that game and played through some adversity and showed what they are capable of when they all commit and buy in.

If they played that same game come playoffs and clean up a couple little things and have Samsogood or Brick Woll vs Jones they s should be in good shape.

I've crushed beers at all the places you have mentioned in London too many times as I had a buddy at Western and then at hockey tourneys.

You left out one establishment I feel you likely have frequented at least once, it's kinda one of those places you go - once.

The Beef Baron

Not even sure if it's still there - haven't been to London in 15 years or so now.

- Cush29

It just changed to Bunny's. While at UWO me and a bunch of the boys from the Ceeps would get dressed up in suits and go for a business lunch every Friday.

Oh that must’ve been fun Christ. That place was always fight night if it’s the one I am thinking about and not switching names up. I think it was that place? The rideout (some vets called it slideout) was the multi level one I think. Dozzer and I figured it was maybe the old one Richmond.

That is funny though - I absolutely guarantee if you bounced there 94-96 you and I crossed paths… not for good reason either.

could be that both Jankrok and Robertson head out of town as part of package for D-man.

you do notice in a game against a physically large team like Vegas that guys like Robertson have a much more difficult time of it. Jarnkrok similar - although since he has more experience he generally handles it better.

Clam Chowder?

Shocked you didn't take the obvious "We went for Taco Tuesday" joke.

The western hockey players went to ceeps right? I 100% remember chirping them when I was young and stupid (well more so I guess). It was them or football? A
I just have memories of chirping Canadian university sports at the time…again young cocky and stupid.

LOL I probably worked with a bunch that worked there then. Homecoming was great. All the old door dudes would come back to work the early shift starting at 9 am. Got to hear some great stories working with those guys.

Yeah Western football and hockey. You would have been chirping my friends. Lucky you didn't get tuned by them. But like any young athletes filled with testosterone they likely deserved it

Yeah not a lot of good fights at the Ceeps. We had 13-17 door guys. Not to mention all the football guys, hockey guys and countless others had our back. But I did have some interesting moments with both Outlaws and H.A., and there was also a very big Lebanese gang that liked to hang out there. Was more of a preppy bar though with jocks and sorority types

Oh I was there with teammates. We would’ve been just fine….we also would’ve deserved some smacks too. We usually focused on the hockey players. Stupid crap like calling them bush league and burners and asking if their leagues are coed and intermural- being jerks cause that’s what us idiots did back then. Dumb.

I was likely hitting that place up with my buddy from UWO just before you started working there. I seem to recall the Ceeps being a pretty great spot with good tunes, lots of Alt rock vs silly pop BS.

Last time I as in London for a hockey tourney the tourney bar to go to was some weird log cabin looking place - Jim Bob's or some poop like that?

I remember it vividly because we had one hero who decided at last call to order a case of beer from the server he was trying to pick up all night by promising her a 40 dollar tip.

She brought over the full brown case of bottles, every cap off every bottle.

5 minutes later the lights come on.

He was yelling "free beer over here" to anyone and everyone as most of the team was outside looking for something to eat and those of us left all had 4 beers in our hands.

Easily one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Totally hammered strangers looking over in disbelief and having to be convinced to drink a beer with the drunk idiot.

Yeah they had a little territory battle going on in the 90s. A couple of Outlaws were shot at the Beef Baron.

Well I hope you had 50 teammates, at least. The bar was all Western athletes plus not sure us doormen would have been on your side.

Nuts. Hey what was that college up there close to western. I remember a dust up with some kids from there who I guess didn’t understand that hockey players kinda enjoyed fighting (yet another dumb admission but back then true). They were rudely introduced to that culture
