Oh that must’ve been fun Christ. That place was always fight night if it’s the one I am thinking about and not switching names up. I think it was that place? The rideout (some vets called it slideout) was the multi level one I think. Dozzer and I figured it was maybe the old one Richmond.

That is funny though - I absolutely guarantee if you bounced there 94-96 you and I crossed paths… not for good reason either.

- Big23Questions

Oh no!!! The Richmond is the Richmond and has been its entire life. I remember the ridout and that building no longer exists, it was a one level but sloping 3 bar place. Different style hangouts. The tavern type, and a couple different dancing types.

I looked it up, 346 ridout street North was its location. Torn down in 2004 roughly, and is now a massive apartment/condo building

I was likely hitting that place up with my buddy from UWO just before you started working there. I seem to recall the Ceeps being a pretty great spot with good tunes, lots of Alt rock vs silly pop BS.

Last time I as in London for a hockey tourney the tourney bar to go to was some weird log cabin looking place - Jim Bob's or some poop like that?

I remember it vividly because we had one hero who decided at last call to order a case of beer from the server he was trying to pick up all night by promising her a 40 dollar tip.

She brought over the full brown case of bottles, every cap off every bottle.

5 minutes later the lights come on.

He was yelling "free beer over here" to anyone and everyone as most of the team was outside looking for something to eat and those of us left all had 4 beers in our hands.

Easily one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Totally hammered strangers looking over in disbelief and having to be convinced to drink a beer with the drunk idiot.

- Cush29

Yeah us and Jim Bob's were rocking back in the day. Ceeps was dead on Sundays so I would be the bartender manager. About 10-20 staff would come in for a few drinks then we would head to Jim Bob's. I would close early and join them shortly thereafter. The 2 girls at the back bar would bring in their own vodka. They would just keep most of the bar covered with Vodka water, oj, soda, whatever we asked for like 40 drinks at a time. We would just guzzle non stop. Basically our bill would come to $1 a drink. So anywhere from $200-400. End of the night someone would go around and collect $40 or 50$ from each guy. The girls would leave with $300-$400 in tips each just from our group.

Nuts. Hey what was that college up there close to western. I remember a dust up with some kids from there who I guess didn’t understand that hockey players kinda enjoyed fighting (yet another dumb admission but back then true). They were rudely introduced to that culture

Man I drank a ton. Could’ve sworn the rideout had multi levels. Maybe the 3 bar was split level? Now I’m confused about the more traditional looking one we used to go to. Literally almost right on track if not like a few pace# away with stained glass window. Those are the details I can recall. And the Generic Musk haha never forget that name

To be fair Fanshawe isn’t close to UWO. UWO has one of the most primary Canadian hospitals and is halfway between the north end (wealthier) and the older part (greasy downtown) of London. Where Fanshawe is out in the eastern end by the airport. Altho they’ve taken a couple of the cheap downtown buildings lately which I’m somewhat thankful for, even druggies know not to bother students for money lol

Ya man I say close but I meant in London. I have no clue not familiar with that area. Close just meaning the college up there. It was Fanshaw though. Rang a bell and texted a buddy who verified those were Fanshaw kids.

Close but it’s Fanshawe (with an e lol)

They’ve typically been the east end of the city, where’s UWO is a more central northern wealthy area of the city. About a 20-25min drive apart depending on traffic so it’s no major journey or anything lol

Literally leave UWO on the east side onto Richmond, hang a right, drive 5 mins to Oxford, hang a left, drive for 15-20 more depending on traffic and you’ll hit Fanshawe

As far as Uni towns and partying goes I had friends in London, Guelph, and Kingston that I visited regularly to party with.

Gotta' give the nod to Kingston as the most fun place to party.

I ended up living in Kingston many year later and still have much love for K Town.

Man rewatched some of those goals because I am getting old and losing my memory, but I swear some of the takes on here are getting even more ridiculous. Just reaching for attention or trying to start an argument. I will say Marner might have set a record tonight for longest combined distance from the net on 2 assists. I think he was inside his own hashmarks on both of his touches that led to secondary assists.

Hope he can stay hot though and continues to come back deep in the zone.

Love that place as well, got to enjoy it doing the band thing. Always loved going the othe other way and further North and playing places like Kapuskasing, Cochrane, and Hearst as well. Always surprised me a bit that the folks in northern Ontario are half French though, I’ll admit it. lol

K-Town was definitely fun. I had more fun in Waterloo though. Lots of friends at Laurier and went there at least once a month for a few years. Lots of Keg Parties end up at the Bomber or Loose Change Louies.

Had a couple of epic Oktoberfest nights there too.

Yeah I went to French school and there were 3 of us Leafs fans. More Boston fans than Leaf fans.
