Mitch would be easier simply because his contract expires at the end of next year and if he wants too much, maybe he can work a sign & trade or even a preferred destination deal with the Leafs. Nylander just signed and was just given a full NMC with the extension. He has said there is no other place he wants to be - and his reservation when he held out with Dubas previously was that he didn't want to be traded - he wanted a deal that would somewhat protect him. If Mitch signs for the same as Nylander, with the cap rising by $8m over the next two years and JT coming off the books, or at least going down by at least half if not more, there may be room to keep everyone and still build a solid defense and add quality goaltending - but there's a lot of hope and a lot of ifs that go into that obviously.
