Thanks!! I am hoping he does well.

Didn't hear which PP unit Bemstrom is on. Second unit won't make much of a difference.

No clue as to how effective he was with Columbus, just that he scores on the man advantage. And quite frankly, those aren't big numbers by any stretch of the imagination.

In between periods in Canada: Friedman mentioned Vegas, Vancouver, Edmonton, Carolina and Florida as the teams that have reached out about Jake so far. He bets there are/will be far more teams express interest.

He added goaltender in there. Didn't specify which one.

I guess the word from the inside is the plan is to get younger and gain some cap space for this offseason so Dubas can be aggressive this offseason. Both during free agency and via trade to acquire some additional core talent. I assume Reinhart is on that list of players he wants to bring in.

Side note:
I guess Elias Pettersson is asking for 12 million per season and Vancouver may shop him this offseason. Teams have already started asking about his availability

Maybe that's why Dubas has been bringing in some Swedes since he started as GM... Make it more like home for Elias Petterssom in efforts to obtain or sign him haha... One can dream....

Lol right?! I have a gut feeling we may lose some Swedes this offseason if we did trade for Elias (pipedream I know). I think they would want our Pettersson in the deal. I also think with some of this talk Karlsson could be moved this offseason. Elias is playing LW for them. I assume that may be one reason why they are going after Guentzel.

Petersson seems like a bit of a douche, but I'd still pay him his $12M per year and give up a haul of assets. But I actually heard he was offered 8/$96M and turned it down....

What do you have to give up to get him and how do we load up those assets? Would be cool to have JR and Dubas work out a gentleman's deal.

Well FSG just ripped my heart out in English soccer so between the Penguins struggling and Liverpool not, I'm getting the worst of both worlds.

Klopp is an insufferable whiner. Hate seeing him go out with hardware.

Nylander is playing today for the Blue Jackets. So...do we make a coaching change if he lights it up and becomes a good player for the Jackets? (which won't happen)

This is an honest question because I don't really follow Premiere League, usually only pay attention to international soccer (World Cup and Euros).... But it sounds like the narrative I've seen around here a few times that FSG ruined Liverpool as well (Red Sox and Penguins), isnt correct? Haha

Never once heard anyone claim that FSG ruined Liverpool. They won their first title in the premier league era under them and have a champions league win.

FSG hasnt ruined Liverpool, Liverpool have had a great tenure under Klopp. FSG hiring Klopp was one of the best hires in European football in decades.

Where Liverpool fans complain about FSG is that they have tons of money that the club earns, but FSG never spends it on big name players while rival clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea do. So in Liverpool fans' eyes, while the last 10 years have been good, with more FSG investment, they could've been better.

FSG is faced with a very difficult hiring in the summer as Klopp is leaving. He's been one of the big reasons why they've been able to compete so well while spending less than rivals.

I appreciate him as a manager, incredible winner... but yes, he whines a lot and just rubs a lot of people the wrong way.

Wont be sad when him and Pep are gone from England.

That's the key to extending Malkin's role at 2C IMO. Hind sight is 20/20, but Zucker and Malkin were so good together last year.

Klopp and Dabo Swinney are cut from the same cloth. All smiles, jokes and personality when they win but when they lose it’s never on the coaching and pull the “little old Liverpool that just can’t spend like the other clubs do” card. Klopp pretends he’s an underdog and Liverpool is some mid tier club in England that he’s pulling into relevancy when really he’s coaching a top 10 club in the whole world
