Malkin was invisible. Dude glides around like a lost puppy. Hopefully he turns it up a bit to match O'Connors energy

Apparently Canucks' Director of Player Personnel was at the game yesterday. I know they have interest in Guentzel, but I wonder who else they may be looking at.

Oh, I'd say there has, and will continue to be, scouts and other personnel from other teams, humming around the Pens games.

If Stone and Eichel stay on LTIR until the playoffs they have room for Jake, Smith and then some haha....and will probably win the cup again

I’m loving this Matt Rempe dude. That Bastian dude was about to cry over a broken nose, then his buddy gets dropped because he forgot that in hockey if you go slash someone after a play you can get punched in the face. Just great stuff all around for a league that’s been taken over by cowards.

I agree with this! I just wanna see them start making moves. I am intrigued by what we will obtain in trades for some of these players. I also want to see if Dubas trades some of his tougher contracts without us retaining for multiple years.

I heard Eichel is coming back soon, but Stone is out "longer term". I think they have some interest in Smith as well as Tampa Bay and Florida.

I could see Smith getting shipped out in a 3 team deal with the 3rd team retaining some cap (1-2 million).

Oh, I think there's going to be quite a few 3 ways this trade season. There is going to have to be for most playoffs teams, especially top contenders, to add any cap. Not many of them have a whole lot of wiggle room.

That was a great tilt. One of the best I'd seen in a while. Then the kid got his first goal doing the dirty work right on the doorstep. Great night for him.

If the pens are gonna suck I just want stupid ugly barn burners like this where the core have great games

Most teams won't be starting ECHL-level goaltending.

Funny thing is Petersen (0.781 SV%) was better than Jarry (.714 SV%) last night haha

5 on 5 high danger chances were only 4 for the Flyers...13 for the Pens.

... 5 more to lose a 3rd rounder hahah

Don't worry, Bermstrom only hit the ice for three more shifts after his goal a little more than halfway thru the game.

I think Sullivan told him if scores again he will be sent to the minors.

Yeah but I didn't have a feeling that every shot was going in when Jarry was in goal.

I don't know about that. Jarry struggled all day. He fighting the puck right from the start. He's only had a couple of games like that this season, but he was brutal yesterday.

He heard that his name was popping up in trade talks so he wanted to make sure he stays put.

He was shakey for sure, but Peterson let in 4 weak goals. Jarry at least made more than routine saves.

Reminded me of the goaltender optional series from 2012.

I remember thinking to myself I wasnt seeing him much. However, I had to leave to go play in the 3rd, left when it was 6-4 Pens and I was kinda going around getting all my stuff ready to leave with the game on in living room, not giving it full attention.

Just looked and he had the least amount of ice time at 5 on 5 with 8:16 followed by Harkins and Carter. He had a 52.46 xGF%, 80.00 SCF%, 75.00 HDCF% and 73.33 CF% to go along with that PP goal. So, it was a pretty decent debut all in all haha.

I think he'll be a decent pickup if they give him a shot.
