from afar I don't find it's too bad, but closer it looks silly because the color is supposed to emulate the old equipment, while they're wearing modern poop.

Vintage works when a team actually has an history of wearing these in the past ... both team's history don't go that far.

The NHL will do anything to get a few extra bucks these days.

It started with ads on the boards and glass then gimicky uniforms and now logos on the real uniforms ... next thing you know they'll include ads on faceoff circles and jerseys will look like Euro hockey jerseys as moving billboards.

When is enough enough?

You don't mess with the sacred Habs uniform PERIOD ... too much glorious history attached (24 cups). You don't mess with a classic ... would you put sparkles on Michaelangelo's Vatican fresco?

The Habs should tell the NHL to go screw themselves and let the other less illustrious teams play around with that poop.
