That was an incredible end of shift for Marner.

Those weren’t turnovers.

He was keeping the Avs pinned in their zone and allowed the Leafs to change. He set Kampf up 3 times and ended up having to re-retrieve it because Kampf couldn’t maintain possession in the Avs zone. Really good hockey IQ from Mitch on that play.

Yeah, I really think sometimes giving them a powerplay for 12 seconds to get another stick might be better, but he made a pretty slick block.
