Why? Points are close, goals are the same, atoi are almost identical with the edge going to Petey, Miller only has a few more PP points... Miller is much better at faceoffs but Petey will improve being 6 years younger. Petey has 3 more gwg. More 5v5 points last I saw...

Miller makes more than Petey... so if he's sitting there stewing over Petey making less than him when everything is so close, then Miller is a cancer(which I don't buy).

Wow... and you are projecting Petey's contract as "money for nothing"?

edit: Dont know why it's all bold. Only bolded in your quote.

Quanthockey is a nice stat site imo

Has Petey & Miller pretty even up.
Also good for other team stat comps.

Add in the despised +/-….

3rd JT +28 gets the tougher match ups
7th Petey +14 needs top 6 wingers

1st Hronek +34
2nd Hughes +32

- Nighthawk

I wonder what JT's +/- would look like if he had Kuzmenko on his wing for 2/3'ds of a season. A large portion of the season he had a defensive C on his wing, Suter and Boeser all season who we all agreed is pretty good defensively now.

Do you remember the only game this season that they tried Kuzmenko on Miller's wing? They were -3 in the 1st period and Kuz was busted down to the 4rth line for the next two periods. Miller's line finished even and the 4rth line let in goals before Kuz was benched.

WTF??? I'm countering the body language argument with an example. How do you do this so often. You are perpetually barking up the wrong trees.

I think it's hilarious that anyone is commenting on it period, somehow you think you're above criticism or comment. No Boomer, no.

Good grief... scraping the bottom of the barrel to support Vantel's post's that Miller is upset about the money Petey is making this season.

That was the only reason I posted any comparables so keep building the narrative that Miller is upset about how much Petey is getting paid this season.

Im Surprised they haven't tried Garland on his wing the way he has played this year, putting Mikhayev back there...

This makes no sense. Someone is going off about Peteys body language while pushing a narrative that omits Miller's body language last season. It's a narrative that doesnt add up at all. All I did was remind them about it.

You should be criticizing the people pushing the body language narrative, not the person dismissing it. Totally backwards as usual. Should be obvious since I'm arguing with several people bout them projecting body language.

Agree on who has what wingers greatly affects +/-. 👍

To counter you what if Petey had JT’s wingers & the matching up against ops top lines?

So far RT has tried the revolving door of wingers for Petey except Boeser. Hasn’t worked out. Imo it’s on the C to make a line go & have chemistry with wingers is everything. Wingers have to feed off of a C to make C’s be at their best. Kuz was a big drag on Petey. It leads to me liking dynamic duos & not messing with success & why the 3rd wheels keep changing so much on the top 2 lines with only the 3rd line being a great trio all season til Joshua went down.

Willander has moved back about Hutson in game score.

Aiden could be taking on a very large role next season.

For the Canucks? I'd still say Hughes for the overall body of work, but Miller has been making a case these last 10 games or so. Ep and Demko I have right there as well, a hot streak from any of them could seal a close race. Good problem to have!

Our NHL Insider @frank_seravalli
reported that the Vancouver Canucks are keeping close tabs on Minnesota Wild forward Brandon Duhaime

Duhaime is a 26 year old left shot winger. He's 6'2, 200 pounds and has put up 4 goals, 2 assists, and 64 penalty minutes in 58 games this season

There's your source for the rumour Nighty.

Canucks hoping to strike gold twice with getting another Joshua. I'm not so sure. Would be good physical upgrade to the 4th line though.

My comment had to do with your +/- post. Not about who it's on or fault.

The constant needing to blame a player(always Petey with a group in here) is getting so fkn old just like the constant pitting Petey against Miller. It's fkn cancer is what it is. The team is enjoying it's best season in almost 15 years and there's a group in here that spend all day every day crying about a player like we are going to miss the playoffs once again and it's all his fault. It's pathetic.

People want to constantly compare Miller vs Petey when the difference is so little yet Petey is 6 years younger. If Miller was up for contract next season, he'd be making more money. That's not on Petey, that's not on anyone... it's just the reality of the situation. Miller got paid great money for term that will go well into his declining years. It was based on his career which wasnt spectacular. The extra years are gravy when he'll be over 34... If he was a 100 point player at 24, and did it as a center, and up for contract this summer, he'd be getting massive money... He's got a couple of seasons left in him at this level. Why are the two contracts being compared... it's all moot.

You mean Canuck MVP? Hughes. I had him in the Hart discussion earlier this season even. He will get votes if they win the Pres... but not likely win it.
