Everybody on this club is playing above their pay grade....it is no excuse for us fans to not call out the mistakes.

Ideally, Caufield/Suzuki/Slaf is a second line of a Cup contender....

- Frozendisc

considering their age (they're all still very young, and Slaf is literally a rookie) I find it's way too early to make such a conclusion, the same way it would be too soon to say they are already 1st line material on a cup-winning team.

anyway I'm not saying we shouldn't be calling out the veterans' mistakes, just that they aren't as crucial to monitor as far as the future of the team is concerned.

as Michel Therrien would say, "dep is very important".

VGK definitely has that, but I don't think they have three 1st lines either... (frank) them.

suzuki would be first in points with Vegas, so the dude who made the statement before was way off. Eichel is not way above than Suzuki this season. He has less points than Suzuki. But, Vegas is not a one trick pony :https://www.nhl.com/goldenknights/stats

The depth is easy to see there. The suzuki line is a blessing, not a problem. The problem is that there is not much if anything that comes after that.

Vegas has a defenseman that is a point per game player and its not even Pietrangelo

They have a very good team and now will add cause Stone went down once again.

well, I'm not worried at all for Suzuki and I'm definitely happy to have him in MTL, but to be fair that's just one guy, it doesn't automatically mean the habs' first line is as good as the top line they have in VGK.

I thought they would do better, overall as a team this season, ending up 23-26th in the standings.

They now have a shot at ending up as low as 29, with Columbus having 2 games in hand with 1 game against each other left before the end of the season.

Yeah, Dach being injured 5 periods into the season, and then the eventual trade of Monahan, did not help - but hard to see team progression.

There has been really good individual player growth this season.... often the small things that make players overall better (Like Slaf driving to the net on Suzuki's goal, forcing the defenders to adjust giving Suzuki more time and space).

We have seen it from Guhle, and Struble and CC (other than goals...) and others.

Next year really needs to be about team growth.

And that is on the coach.

the way I see it, there's a strong and undeniable correlation between team progression and key players staying healthy and remaining in the lineup.

of course the injuries don't explain the whole picture, and St-Louis could surely benefit from having more experience on the coaching staff to help him steer the team in the right direction, but it's hard to get collective results on a rebuilding team when some of your best players are missing, it is what it is.

may go out to get the cheap pair of shoes, may wait for the next pay for le coin des coureurs

I think Globo might be a better idea than a place like Marshalls but I may have to go further from my place to get there.

I may or may not go out for brunch as well before the shoes

the way you were talking about how harsh you can be on a pair of shoes, going for cheap may not be ideal, but then again I get your point that spending more doesn't necessarily equate to higher quality and durability either.

also, what the (frank) do I know.
