Great cover songs continued. Going off the board this week. Here's a cover song by William Shatner. Decent version of an interesting song from Shatner's Has Been album released in 2004. Give it a try.

That was great. Never heard it or the original before. I was thinking of a couple of options for future Sundays: Twist and Shout and Respect

Franklin's version of Respect was an all time great. The history of Twist and Shout is interesting. Originally released by an unknown band called the Top Notes (produced by Phil Spector) and covered by the Isley Brothers (the version the Beatles covered)
Don't think Tre's guy to pay on the RS is going to be a 5'11" player. - Santo_44
My guess is that he's left with the rental market ...somebody like Dallas outbids (pays a first) him for Tanev. None of the bigger ticket term guys get moved so he's left with the next best rental that he can afford. 3rd, prospect kinda deal maybe lands Walker.
Wouldn't be surprised if McMann and Robertson were moved beside JT to showcase them for a potential trade. I like the line, but it seems so un-Keefe. - oldstyle
McMann's a UFA this summer. He's found money and just running with it.
Robertson ..maybe. He could get moved if they found a bigger deal.

It could happen, but I don't see the Leafs moving McMann this year. He's done really well with limited opportunities. His ability and willingness to drive the net is a good influence on the Leafs IMO. I see the extras on this team as Gregor and Reaves. Gregor is a good skater that can shoot but has limited hockey IQ. Reaves could be useful down the stretch to police things, but will not see alot of playoff action IMO. Robertson is an RFA with no arbitration rights and is showing signs of potential. Not sure he's worth much in a trade. If the Leafs make a move, I would think it is more about a d-man with some size and grit. Adding a RH version of Benoit would be ok.

Depending on Calgary options
I belive both Gregoire and McMann are Alberta boys
Good cheap depth pieces for them 🤷🏿♂️
Add Mittens… yadda yadda

IMHO, most cover songs tend to be inferior but here's a rare instance where the cover song eclipses the original (Peter Gabriel's "Mercy Street"):
