You just further proved my point. Thanks

Pickering has 5 goals and 31 assists with 29 pims..

I'd rather upgrade the bottom 6 with 10 million then keep EK..If you don't want Jake? It's funny though when I read and here (when Noel acciari comes back from injury the pens will be back to winning again)...Relying on noel and the bottom 6 with scoring goals????? Whatever man...

I can sound dumb also.

The Acciari thing is a running joke on here. When he went down in December, the PK and team sucked, then he came back and they went on a run. Then he got hurt again recently and they tanked, and we started joking that when Acciari comes back they'll be fine ... and it's happened.

I know the Pens have had better wins than last night, but that might be my favorite game all season considering the injuries and their position in the standings.

Sid is an animal. I watched a classic game a couple of days ago, and I can honestly say there's not a whole lot of difference in his game. He's amazing.

If Puusti gets some hands, he might be turning into a nice find.

On Miller's shorty breakaway, what was Letang waving to the refs for? I rewatched it and still can't see it. Did he think it was played with a high stick or something?

it was was pretty close to a high stick. they only showed one replay here, but it looked like a good play.

I respect that these guys aren't going down without a fight. It's nice to see some guys in the lineup getting a chance to earn ice time rather than just being gifted ice time because of their contracts.

The Sid impact on Rackell is obvious. Hopefully he can pump up his value for a trade. Also makes me more firm in my belief they should cash in on Jake. Sid is going to produce with any pair of top 9 wingers. If we are spending $9M, it needs to be either for a top 6 center or two 2nd line caliber wingers.

I think we should take a shot at Vatrano with a year left on his contract. Not a big guy but has an edge to him and I feel like he would look really good with Sid. Feel like he would be well worth a 2nd rounder.

Acciari=The piece

In all fairness that was probably his best game of the year. He blocked some bombs last night and suddenly had hands and was pulling off some impressive rushes.

Carter needs to sit against teams like the Canucks, Jersey etc. He was getting lapped last night. He'll probably play better down the stretch with rest too.

You could absolutely beat up Alexander Semin, I'll give you that...unless it's a slap fight.

Semin’s “pillow fight” didnt have the savoir-faire of say, a Probert - Grimson affair. 😆

Did you see Acciari dekes on that one shift? Made 2 defenders look super foolish and almost scored one. That would have been awesome! I saw him chuckling on the bench after the shift.

Its amazing how he has kept it up. Not that anyone was ever going to question his commitment to excellence, but the 2026 Olympics is going to keep a fire under his ass! He loves that poop.

Agreed on Puust. Sullivan has always been so quick to yank young players from the lineup. I am hopeful that now that we don't have a choice but to play them, some of these guys can get comfortable and build some confidence getting more ice time without having to look over their shoulders. Too bad Poulin has been hurt again because this would have been a nice time to get a look at him. I know it isnt the right thing to do, but I am itching to get a look at Yager in the lineup. He is doing about everything he can in Jr's, I want to finally take a chance that a guy can jump in early and contribute. 7 game look or so would be nice.

This to me is a yes and no. I would completely agree with you IF the 10 mil could be properly allocated to 2 quality 5 mil wingers. Pretty unlikely. I do believe the team could look a heck of a lot different, plus there would be a hell of a hole on D to fill. No one is playing those 25 minutes as well, and then Letang has to do everything again which means Letang will Letang (good and bad)

Edit - I def quoted the wrong post lol. It was something about replacing ek with depth forwards. 14-16 hour days on a bridge in the heavy coastal rain is wearing me down lol

I think it was high but no way was Sully challenging a a call that stood on the ice. Too much grey area there.

I think the best thing about Puus on Geno's line is the speed he adds. It's very noticeable with DOC on the other side.

The last 2 assists for Puus were from him winning a race to a lose puck. When he got it he didn't just Harkens it into a corner, he made a heads up play to an open man.

He also has an under utilized one timer that I've only seen a couple times but it was hard and on net which is sorely lacking from this team.

Right! I hate that dinosaur sh!t from Sullivan. Puust had a bad play a couple of games ago and he sat for a few shifts. Why do that when he's giving 100% effort every shift? Young players are going to make mistakes as they adjust to the speed of the NHL. Meanwhile, JC is out there for a casual skate every game and he never misses a shift.

Dude...you compared AHL production to NHL production and deduced that a player with high AHL production could easily replace a player with high NHL production.

Look up, something went over your head.

Same with doc excellent speed and often forces many turnovers on the dump ins. If he can gear his game a little more towards the front of the net I’d be happy. A little more grit as well, hopefully.. sweet baby Jesus please bless him with some grit.. haha
