It is. It is one that I hope pays off and I have a good feeling that it might finally do that.

To be fair, two years isn't that far in the future. Picks are assets that have intrinsic value - why wouldn't you want your team to maximize said value?

I mean, sure, there are fans who think every pick is sacred which is absurd, but I don't think it's odd or necessarily silly to rationally criticize a trade that involves future picks. 🤷

especially when the current team isn't making the playoffs. I can see why some would be upset spending future assets to improve a team that is clearly nowhere near good enough with a core of players nearing the end of their careers.
