well, when I was talking to you about motivation : Pearson is playing for a contract and to stay in the NHL, Armia has one year left but he can see the door already and Harris wants to be and stay in the line up and maybe prove he is a legit NHL defenseman

Monty doing his best so Hughes get rid of the 3 way tandem next season.

But if players cant find a reason to show up, they wont

MSL is still in the “too nice” phase for the sake of development. There’s no pressure on him or the staff, the approach or results collectively.

Injuries and the lack of talent, at this stage of the rebuild, buys him and the other green coaches time.

But there will come a time where MSL will HAVE to be a coach and separate himself as a player and focus on being a coach and come down on playff Ed a when they don’t perform, tow the line etc…

But, in the same vein, he may never be the coach when this time arises?? Who knows.

I see him moving into head of player development or another high-end roll. This is merely a stepping stone for him

if you want some results next season, then his GM will need to help his coach cause that centre line and that defense wont cut it
