We might find out. Could be sign or be traded scenario. - Marwood
Unless it starts with Aho, I don't think the Canucks would even listen to the rest of the deal.
Imagine that... trade away a C like Petey just before going into the playoffs and plugging in a downgrade. This management would be laughed out of town if they relied on Lindholm and it flopped...

I love you guys who think fans are supposed to be calm and rational. You know the term "fan" is short for fanatic right?
Let's do a quiz, are Fanatics known for:
A. Being excessive and extreme
B. Being calm and rational
Which one would you choose Neem, A or B? - bloatedmosquito
That’s the dumbest logic I’ve heard since Nuck5me and the good Doctor were in their heyday. There’s no excuse for not being rational and making up bullpoop like a fan knows insider info. |

I would not be overly surprised if he is traded, and if he is hopefully soon because it will have huge team dynamics going into the playoffs.
BTW did you guys notice that when Miller scored SH that the 1st guy he hugged was Pettersson and the body language indicated pure emotion between the two. |

Nah.
It was just PA and JR playing pettersson and getting him to blink 1st.

I did. Narrative buster and let's be honest, the story about friction during celebrations was a fabrication to begin with. It reminds me of the common political trick of freezing a politicians video just as he's raising his hand to wave and framing it like a nazi salute in a pic during a smear. People are that gullible.

Hurricanes have some nice pieces on D.
But yeah it would be a pretty ballsy move for sure. |

Then you continue to put pressure on and consider moving him in the off-season.
Use that Dhaliwal shill to “leak” information that gets the media all worked up, which Pettersson will find tiresome |

I would split a gut.
I think Canucks are using it as leverage saying lets get this over with. One way or another.
Serevalli today said "There is some friction between Petey and JTM but he is not sure it is a huge issue. - VANTEL
I could see JTM in Petey’s face to pick it up. I doubt it’s more than Miller being Miller & wants to win badly & trying to motivate Petey to be the best he can be. It’s all about a cup & nothing less imo. Healthy to have players butt heads a bit if it’s a common goal 👍 |

We are all fans and we all have our moments of irrationality, happy, sad, or angry. Some get pissed off at the refs, for others it's management, some go crazy over coaches decisions, and some even get frustrated with our best players or fourth line scrubs.
So what? Being a fan of sports gives us men an excuse to be irrational idiots.

I'd be concerned if there is friction between Miller and Petey. The list of friction rumors in Van between JT and other players grows and he showed up with baggage of that sort to begin with. - boonerbuck
I’d be concerned if there wasn’t friction. Not every player ticks the same way & the stronger the will to win is needed from all players in their own way. If & I mean IF Petey needs to be the alpha he’s got another thing coming while Miller is here & playing like he has. The need for diversified personalities is important imo. On the ice is where it all has to come together & not in the room. That’s their biz on the inner workings behind closed doors. Country Club is gone & the time is now to get it done. |

It makes little sense. PA/JR have said multiple times they are satisfied with D and would like to work on the top 6. Van would be downgrading the C position instead.
Meanwhile, Canes would be downgrading their D position, which is their strength.
I could see Van considering an Aho+ deal because he is signed long term for under 10m... and is a good player. Canes would get a younger and better point producer in the deal. They would also get cap space for this season to make another deal. Van would have to maneuver a little bit to fit Aho into the cap but nothing out of reach.
Seems unlikely to me though when you consider the risks of rocking the boat that hard this season just before the playoffs. |

A shutdown RHD
A big skating winger who can play C
One more big piece or 1st pick
Good enough or gotta counter? |

I like your post, although not sure Petey wants to be alpha, but agree about personality dynamics and it is important to have them. |

If you have 1 player having issues year to year with different team mates and it keeps leaking into the public, there is a problem with the common denominator. Typically those players get moved(Miller 3rd team now and van tried to trade him at one point)... and like I said, these rumors were already on Miller before he arrived in Van.
I hope they are not true. More than likely it's just more media and fan BS. If true, there's an issue with Miller not getting along with multiple team mates over his career. Problem.
