It makes little sense. PA/JR have said multiple times the are satisfied with D and would like to work on the top 6. Van would be downgrading the C position instead.
Meanwhile, Canes would be downgrading their D position, which is their strength.
I could see Van considering an Aho+ deal because he is signed long term for under 10m... and is a good player. Canes would get a younger and better point producer in the deal. They would also get cap space for this season to make another deal. Van would have to maneuver a little bit to fit Aho into the cap but nothing out of reach.
Seems unlikely to me though when you consider the risks of rocking the boat that hard this season just before the playoffs. - boonerbuck
Canes D corp is solid & has good depth. Scoring has been lacking every PO run. In goal not quite good enough with Anderson down.
Yes on a huge rocking of the boat for both teams. Comes down to a big decision for now & the future if PA sees it as a great return he can live with. Probably more to do with cap mgmt in the now along with it’s holding up other moves or signings. |

I like your post, although not sure Petey wants to be alpha, but agree about personality dynamics and it is important to have them. - Makita
Just tossin shlt against the wall lol
Not claiming I know the inner dynamics but they tick differently & that I am sure of. |

If you have 1 player having issues year to year with different team mates and it keeps leaking into the public, there is a problem with the common denominator. Typically those players get moved(Miller 3rd team now and van tried to trade him at one point)... and like I said, these rumors were already on Miller before he arrived in Van.
I hope they are not true. More than likely it's just more media and fan BS. If true, there's an issue with Miller not getting along with multiple team mates over his career. Problem. - boonerbuck
Idc about Millers past when I see what he has brought to on the ice since getting here. Inside the room isn’t for the timid & what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger. |

Lindros was an unflushable ass wipe. - Marwood
Have you heard of the rumored feud between Lindros and Brind'amour way back when? Cheating wife thing. It was said that Brind'amour knocked out Lindros and that contributed to his concussion problems That would be priceless if true.
I was just reading about it. Again if true, Lindros is a special kind of douchebag.

Everyone who has played has played with teammates they couldn't stand. I think this is more about getting Petey to commit one way or another and not so much about room dynamics. |

It worked on Boeser. Miller was pretty tough on him for a bit.

On this article if it’s to be taken as truth I don’t like players dictating as a rule. That goes for Petey putting off negotiations. A biz cannot run as smoothly that way & I give very few players in sports that can hold a GM hostage & Petey isn’t one of them. Maybe at one time he could’ve been but he & OTHERS are leading this turnaround season not him alone. It has just come down to it’s team 1st time to follow the mantra RT & upper mgmt has instilled. |

Necas career high 71 points. Only 15 pounds heavier than EP. Canuck's would be downgrading quite a bit out of the top 6 if they swapped plus he's a FA end of the season who will be getting a significant raise.
Canucks would be weaker for C depth, offensive production and their future seeing as Miller is in his 30, Lindhom will be 30 next season and reportedly looking for 8m and a UFA that could easily walk. Then what? Miller, Blueger, Suter and Amon are the centers and (frank) all to use to trade for a high end one moving forward? It's a disaster in the making.
If there is no Aho in the deal, I doubt Van considers anything from the Canes. |

I realize that & an American also. If that is any factor good or bad. PA probably enquired about his ask on a new deal if smart.

Sorta like Shanahan Janney. I believe Shanny is still married to Janney's ex wife. Some guys are just wired to be idiots. |

Tough luv while going through heaps of tough stuff on his shoulders. Brock has been pretty resilient through it all. I genuinely like him & his character. Now if he could only find another gear lol |

It's terrible for the room if one of your leaders perpetually has friction with team mates year to year team to team. Again, I'm not saying this is the case. I'm a skeptic more than a gullible person when it comes to rumors but arguing that it's positive or doesn't matter is ridiculous. Situations like that get dealt with by trading the player away... not by trading away the list of players he doesn't get along with. I mean, where does it end if that's the solution?

I noticed Cole Sillinger had 2 points in his last 10 games and struggling this season again. Was thinking that he could turn into the next JT Miller. Scored tonight now.
Same with Yakov Trenin, mock trade for him and he's scored tonight as well and had 2 points in his past 10 games. |

I get ya 👍
Significant yes but more cap friendly cost wise. 6/5.5m style
Pesce resigned would be the biggest hurdle. Cannot deal Petey if he walks. Disaster setting back the team for many years.
Cannot lose Petey’s offence in any trade is a huge risk |

Since I’m getting calls and text messages about this… to clarify: This was not the offer for Pettersson. Necas and KK were two pieces brought up and discussed as part of a return, not the sole offer.
Canucks probably getting a 1st round pick and prospect back as well and Van will throw in Jacob Truscott's rights. |

I just googled it. It was his wife's brother's wife. His sister in law. Still, pretty back country incestuous.
