I like the idea of giving these players a "Show me what you can do Kid" stint with the big club. However, I cant see Tocchet or managment going with a rookie into the playoffs, after going all in on Lindholm. - carsonagenic
I don't think going in with a rookie, but injuries happen and the AHL depth is there for a reason. Good to know what/who you have beforehand. |

With his 38 goals last year, IMO he would have got a decent prospect and a 2nd/3rd at the deadline last season. I agree with the good company issue you say though. Also the hype created by his goals and by the team marketing might have created a negative vibe if they dealt him. They had enough negative waves after the Bourdreau situation. Moriarty...always with the negative waves... - carsonagenic
Not many teams going into the playoffs are looking for slow soft goal scorers. |

He might be traded, but I dont think it will be in season, like a 1% chance.
Whitney makes pink drank... - carsonagenic
GM came out and said 0% chance they trade him. He doesn’t want to leave and they are building their team around him |

Scoring at that rate with an entry level contract. I beg to differ. Pretty much every team going to the playoffs or fighting to get in could fit the cap hit and at the *very least get a hot power play shooter. Even this season when he sucked and couldn't stay in the line up, he still had trade value. Last TDL, he's getting you a nice return.

Col paid a 2nd for 34 year old 7g 9a Lars Eller at the last deadline.
I always pictured a deal with Montreal for Kuz. Just seems like a Habs type player. |

I really don't think the issue is the personnel, it's getting them to move their feet and try some new set plays. Splitting up the top group isn't a long term solution. |

Shooting the puck more often might help, too.

"I would have to think in most cases it would take a 1st round pick, blue chip prospect and another asset of some kind.."
@JoshYohe_PGH
joined us and talked about Jake Guentzel's future and what price the Penguins might be looking for. That would be a lot for another rental for Van. |

Ops has come out high pressuring Hughes. He walks the line looking to get a shot through that Ops has closed down pretty good. Passes to right side half wall has the diamond creating forced passes or back to Hughes for a reset. Too static & not finding or making seams open up. Boeser moving in the bumper has gotten some good looks. Only Miller hasn’t been static. Move the puck quicker.
Need more of Hronek letting rip bombs. They either get through or hurt ops blocking shots. As for other plays there is far too much puck handling & not enough skating. Back door passes don’t exist & tips are too few. No shots & no rebounds. Cannot get any down low play going for net front greasy goals. |

“Sometimes, you need a breather from each other,” Tocchet said when he brought out the man-advantage blender.
Getting too stuck in a rut. Hopefully some time apart will do them well. |
