On hold. 10 000 + jobs lost in 2 months in the industry. Just signed a new contract today with a chinese company that has a studio in MTL that offers 100% remote.

So for now the plan is to snow bird in spain or down south.

Ubisoft Bordeaux (France) wants me there but they pay less and it's hybrid work... I'll wait till the end of summer before deciding on taking a change with them.

I'm lucky I got a job so fast considering the amount of talent out there looking for a job.

I also got a 35K +++ (bonus structure is twice of what I had but it remains a bonus) boost on my paycheck.
House is still for sale and we aren't planning on buying in MTL yet.

spend a year renting in MTL and then most probably buy a condo in Malaga (Nerja) or Tulum as an investment and snowbird roof for us.

You can get a decent condo for 150K US that has all the services for AirBnB.
