Dump ins need speed & timing. Make D make mistakes in deep. I’ve no problem with it but need puck hounds winning battles or creating turnovers. - Nighthawk
i hear the Flying V is making a comeback. Anaheim has almost perfected it.

God you're a dipshit sometimes. You dump it in to get the Defence to start turning at the blueline. Once they start thinking you're dumping all the time it creates space to carry it in. Then you can do things like fake dumps. Why do you think every Coach on the planet talks about establishing a Forecheck? You're trying to back them up not run right into them. - Load Management
For someone who feels he knows the game better than everyone else, it appears he's never actually played.
In most cases in sports, you take what the opposition is giving you.
He deserved the call up, and now he deserves to go back down and take what he learned with him. He'll be better in the long run for it. Good on him for carving it out so far

Hopefully they both get a call up at some point.
The coach needs to know what he has before the playoffs.

What do you mean, he was the next Alex Burrows...
Too small and too slow for a 4th line role, which is all he really had a chance at.
AHL Tweener / injury call up at best, IMO
Necas had 1 good season and floats alot
KK is only considered a top 6 player based on where he was drafted.
and two late 1sts with 1 already picked for you.

6 foot 185 pounds is not too small. Skating does need work though.

All that plus how weak the Canucks would be down the middle.

I hope it happens. - boonerbuck
Yes a top / elite C prospect would have to be part of the deal, or a Brady Tkachuk+ would be the only way I would move him.
So all the fuss about Petey is window dressing / bargaining for the new deal. Yes he puts up 100ish (for Vantel) points and has a good defensive game. But he is not a McD, Drai, MacK player so I would stick to my guns if I was PA / JR for the best deal I could get on the contract, 8 x 11. And I would shop that around to the league to see what interest I get for him. Not the best time for this by any means, 20 games left, 1st in the West. However, and nobody has really come from the angle of, What if Petey doesn't really want to be here? Is this similar to the rumoured Bure demand during the 94' run, Trade Me Right (frank)ing Now!
Looks like the wheels are falling off in Van The smoke is clearing and we are now finding out that they are not the team that started fast. It is the old story of the hare and the turtle Quick start then become lazy and cocky All of a sudden the turtle methodical ends up beating the cocky hare - broncohorvath
This is what a lot of dumptruck smart people are saying.
