[quote=j.boyd919]The (frank) you can't lol, what kind of horse poop is this? lol you can easily say that most of his moves didn't work out but two of them (EK and Ned) did, actually 3, I'll throw Eller in there. But Smith, Neito, Acciari, Harkens, Graves, all the waiver wire bs, that poop didn't work. Bui

I appreciate that Dubas swung for the fences in a deal to try to fix our biggest problem, so I dont blame him for that. And I don't blame Karlsson because I think coaching is the biggest problem with the team/PP, especially Reirdon. I do fault Dubas for sitting on his hands and doing nothing as we have slid below mediocrity.

Fact is with our pipeline totally depleted, Smith and Graves not working out pretty much doomed us. Smith being a non factor + various injuries has made it so we haven’t had a functioning second line for half the season. Malkin is too old and diminished these days to be able to carry DOC to any kind of consistent top 6 success and further I’m starting to agree with the people who say Malkin should be moved to wing. Graves has made both Letang and Karlsson atrocious when paired with either. He’s mediocre to begin with and seems to be a particularly bad play style fit with our top 2 RD. He’s totally thrown off the balance and construction of the top 4 by being totally unplayable.

What’s left is the Crosby line and whatever pairing Peterson is on. That’s an absolute shell of a team.

I agree with this pretty much completely. Dubas had an identity in mind and it didn’t work. He flat out said it didn’t work himself. Ek, Ned, Jarry, and eller have been great signings. Smith seemed like he would be good but is a butthurt crybaby. Rakell had a brutal uncharacteristically bad year. Rust struggled a little bit probably due to lingering injuries before he was shut down the first time. Graves is an abomination. Smith and rakell I was a bit surprised by especially.

Where I fault dubas is waiting and waiting and waiting for so long. If sully is untouchable then the assistant coaches should have been axed long ago. This team has shown who it was since mid November very consistently. I guarantee there were plenty of options for smith and graves or any bottom 6 to make a lateral move. Could have worked, could have not, but not trying def didn’t work.
