Mantha is a big boy. He's sort sitting on the backside of his prime at 29, but still . . . . He's scored 0 goals in 11 career playoff games and you get to pay him $5.7m for that!

But you get him with his size into the Vegas lineup and I guess he's a good option to have in the playoffs - but it's certainly not a lock based on his limited history.

With the Leafs available cap space, you don't gamble on Mantha though. We could use toughness everywhere, but Mantha isn't typically a tough guy - he can handle himself fine though. But if we have one decent-sized trade available at the TDL, I wouldn't have made it Mantha for us.

Moving Knies is easy. He’s fine as a player. But he’s had top line minutes almost all year with superstars and is 11th in rookie scoring. I’m glad we have him but he’s replaceable

Ya man I can see that. If you could get Crouse o would move knies all day. I would do business in one spot if I were Tre. Grab a dman from there as well. Go bigger like Durzi (would need to add pieces to get Yotes to retain on Crouse if the case) or even Brown. I get Brown isn’t a big deal or a game changer by any means but still a right shot plays hard tough and would bring so egging a dman like Lily for instance can’t bring on a bottom pair.
Sometimes you need to do what you can. If getting to add a forward piece means maybe not shooting huge on D like a Paryko or a bigger name and settling for Brown & Boosh to add the physical type that’s lacking on right side I think it’s still better into playoffs personally.

I like Timmins and Gregor but I feel this is an easy deal to make as a leaf.

However, for the fans who think the leafs have no prospects and cupboards are bare, I suppose they would say no.
